My parents suggested to meet up for dinner tonight and knowing that they loved Cantonese cuisine, I decided on Imperial. Imperial was a private dining restaurant located inside one of the industrial buildings at Kwun Tong. They allowed customers to book private room and to customize the menu based on their budget. 麻辣鹵水拼盆 - The platter consisted of shredded chickens, pig's intestines and beef tripes, cooked in mala sauce. It was flavourful and not too spicy. They were chewy and soft in texture, appetizing for a start.
花雕雞油蛋白蒸大肉蟹 - We choose our crab to be cooked in steamed method, using rice wine and steamed egg white in it. Egg white was very soft and smooth, absorbing the essence of the crab and rice wine. Crab was chewy and sweet, able to taste the freshness.
荔茸百花卷 - It consisted of yam paste, celery and prawn, and deep-fried to it. The skin was fried till thin in texture and crispy, yet not easily broken. the paste was hot and soft, having strong yam taste and the prawn inside was chewy and juicy.
薑沖炒龍躉球 - This was one of the better dishes i tasted. It was fried till very flavourful and the skin was soft and crispy, and yet the fish meat inside was still soft and smooth, going well with the ginger as well.
潮州鹵水鵝 - Braised goose was chewy and juicy, with plenty of oils on it. Sour sauce was provided to enhance the taste.
上湯浸時菜 - The soup was sweet and clear, and the vegetables was cooked till crunchy and juicy. We are able to taste the freshness as well.
蟹油銀芽炒麵 - It was fried with very flavourful and chewy, with plenty of wok hei. It was not dry and sticky, showing the chef culinary skills.
雲呢拿布丁 - It was very soft and smooth, having sweet and slightly bitter taste.
