As we were able to dine in for dinner for more than 2 person currently, I planned to bring my parents out for dinner to celebrate Mother and Father Day. Zither Garden was located at Prince Tower, couple of minutes walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR.They served a wide range of authentic Shanghainese and Beijing cuisine, ranging from their signature Peking duck, meat, seafood, vegetables, rice, noodles, soup, drinks and desserts etc. We ordered half portion of roasted Peking duck and there is a guide tea
They served a wide range of authentic Shanghainese and Beijing cuisine, ranging from their signature Peking duck, meat, seafood, vegetables, rice, noodles, soup, drinks and desserts etc.
We ordered half portion of roasted Peking duck and there is a guide teaching us how to eat. It came with several ingredients as sides such as melon, cucumber, leaks, tortillas, BBQ sauce, honey apricot sauce and sugar. The skin was roasted till thin in texture and crispy while the meat was very juicy and tender, going well with those ingredients and torillas.
Honey balsamic spare ribs - It was done nicely, with the ribs very soft and juicy, with strong honey and vinegar taste.
Stir fried sea bass with Peking style sauce - The skin was fried till crispy and sticky in texture, sweet in taste. Sea bass was soft and smooth too.
Braised Tianjin cabbage with Yunnan ham - Cabbage was braised till very soft and juicy, with the soup clear and tasty. Ham was flavourful, going well with the cabbage.
Rice pudding with shredded pork and preserved vegetable - Rice cakes were very chewy and smooth, with shredded pork chewy and preserved vegetables flavourful, complimenting the dish nicely.
Fried rice with stir fried crab roe and crab meat sauce - The chef was generous with the serving of crab meat sauce, which covered the whole plate and rice. Crab meat sauce was thick in texture and crab roe helped to make the rice flavourful. Fried rice was chewy and fragrant.
Deep fried souffle ball with mashed red bean - It was depp fried till the skin was soft and crispy, with powder spread all over it to make it sweeter. Red bean filling inside was sweet and chewy as well.
