Came here for the first time and also will be my last time. I was expecting more from the $1,200 omakase. Fish quality and variety was at best average. For most part, the sashimi and sushi were the typical fish you would get in any sushi restaurant. So there was no surprising element. The akagai (ark shell) was most disappointing. It clearly lacked the sweetness and the crunchy/firm texture of “live” akagai. So I suspect it was probably not swimming fresh. The unshelled botan shrimp was swimming

The unshelled botan shrimp was swimming in an ice cold bath - just not the right way to handle it. Should be unshelled right before serving. Totally diluted the sweetness of the shrimp.
On a couple of occasions, the sushi chef didn’t bother to explain what was being served. I found it quite rude and unprofessional.
Having said that, the chutoro/otoro wrapped in seaweed was quite good. It melted in my mouth. The pickled ginger was delicious - at par with my expectation.
