The meal overall was very satisfying. Great palette of flavors and our chef named ah "Wah" was fantastic. Very professional, informative and humorous. The only thing I was not content about is the wait time. We reserved for 3 people at 6pm. We arrived at 5:45pm, and they informed us they were not ready and told us to come back at 6:15pm. Firstly, I think it would have been more proper to seat us while we wait instead of telling us to walk around for 30 minutes before coming back. Secondly, after
The only thing I was not content about is the wait time. We reserved for 3 people at 6pm. We arrived at 5:45pm, and they informed us they were not ready and told us to come back at 6:15pm. Firstly, I think it would have been more proper to seat us while we wait instead of telling us to walk around for 30 minutes before coming back. Secondly, after we were seated at 6:15, we still had to wait another 20 minutes before they started to work on our meal. They elaborated that the shipment of ingredients just arrived and the earlier reservations usually would have to wait a bit. If that is the case, then why open up reservation for 6 pm? The management in that regard was quite lacking and unpleasant.
Also the overall service of the managment/waitress/waiters were not as formal as Japanese omakase restaurants in New York and Japan. They usually have very strict guidelines in terms of customer service and tardiness, as is taught in Japan.
Just expect to wait if you reserve early, and don't expect the same treatment if you had omakase from a NY or Japan.
