I always had a great time in here! I liked this place coz I enjoyed not just eating, also the presentation of the food. It was so important coz it's your first contact to a dish. The steamed garoupa fillets with egg in lobster soup was a bit disappointing on the other hand. The presentation of this dish was nice and pretty. The garoupa fillets itself was good too, but the lobster soup was strange... I expected it to be soup, not jelly-like texture. Some part of it tasted even a bit powdery, like fat under cold temperature. It was a bit yucky to be honest.

Sauteed crab claw with egg yolk sauce. That was tasty, with crab claw so full, soaked up with the egg yolk sauce; yet the sauce did not cover the original taste of the crab claw. It was very rich in taste; literally finger licking good!

Beside the BBQ pork, my favourite dish of the night would be this braised Kanto sea cucumber with shrimp roe and vegetables. It was delicate and silky. The shrimp roe sauce was so rich that I wished I had a bowl of rice to go with, but I didn't want extra carbs... so I drank all the sauce like having a bowl of soup.

Another authentic Chinese dish, sautéed lobster fillets with matsutake mushrooms and vegetables. Lobster was al dente I would say, lovely... and asparagus was fresh and crunchy.

Deep-fried purple sweet potato with vanilla milk, for my friend to try, and I was glad he liked it too. Like I said last time, the moist of purple potato melted in the milk as I bit through it, along with its fluffy coat, made you feel like a kid again all of a sudden. I loved how they put the caramel sauce on the side so you get control of the sweetness on your own. After that, on the side of it was, again, the smooth and refreshing mango pomelo sago. What a good way to end our meal.

We went to our “canteen” again for dinner, but this is my first time writing a review of this place. I just thought I should. Still, the barbecued pork and the beef cheeks were my all-time favourites! The first time I went there and when I saw the waiter delivering the barbecued pork to our table, I said to myself, “Oh! We went to our “canteen” again for dinner, but this is my first time writing a review of this place. I just thought I should. Still, the barbecued pork and the beef cheeks were my all-time favourites! 

The first time I went there and when I saw the waiter delivering the barbecued pork to our table, I said to myself, “Oh! I forgot to ask them for fatter ones.” On the table, it just looked a bit better than those average bbq pork you could have in any Chinese restaurants in HK. However, once I took a bite, oh wow… how soft it was! Umm… it started to melt in my mouth. It’s a bit sweet and buttery, so delicate! Sizzling fat, yet not too greasy. The best bbq pork, ever!

The beef cheeks were just tasty as usual! I was overwhelmed when I first tried it to be honest. They were crispy on the outside, and tender inside. The texture was just incredible, served with rich, house-made pepper sauce. They completely stole my heart and have remained in my memory ever since the first time I tried that dish. Fabulous!

Both chicken and cod fish are a bit chewy that night. The cod fish was one of the seasonal special. I love cod fish, so we ordered. However, it was not as good as I thought. The Japanese restaurants I went could have done a better job. It was a bit chewy to a piece of cod fish. Cod fish are supposed to be soft and juicy, smooth like it could slip down your throat accidentally. It was not dry, but just not soft enough.

The prawns were fresh and bouncy. Yeah! Dancing prawns~~  I just loved the rich smell of mushrooms, they had a nice touch to the whole dish.

Fried rice was okay. I wished they put more X.O. sauce to it though. The scallops dish was good as usual. I just love asparagus and lily bulbs! Fresh and crunchy!

I was quite disappointed by Braised bean curd sheets with black mushrooms in oyster sauce. By the name of it, I thought it would look like a crepe cake, with layers of bean curd sheets and chopped black mushrooms in between each layer… but it was not. The black mushrooms still tasted okay, but the bean curd was a bit too hard.

Dessert though, was a surprise! It was actually my mom’s choice, as just by the name of it I would think it’s just another normal deep fried milk dessert with purple potato added; which I’m not a big fan of purple potatoes personally. But when it came, I was attracted by its presentation already. It looked bigger and fluffier then the ones I had in other restaurants, and they added pistachio bits on top. When it’s cut open from the middle, I just liked the layers of its color. Although I don’t like purple potatoes, I love purple.
The moist of purple potato melts in the milk as I bit through it, plus its fluffy coat. It made you feel like a kid again all of a sudden. I love how they put the caramel sauce on the side so you get control of the sweetness on your own. After that, on the side of it was the mango pomelo sago. Usually when I see that I’ll be afraid if it might be too sour or too sweet... but this one was good! Not sour, not too sweet; but smooth and refreshing. That was a good way to end our meal.

特色菜金池玉枕確是好味,蟹鉗肉質新鮮嫩滑、蟹味濃,配合龍蝦汁及陳村粉,完美配合。😋紫薯香酥脆奶有特色,外面香脆,紫薯配合滑滑的奶口感特別,但楊枝甘露奶味太重,而且一小杯份量太少,大杯一點也可以吧😬萬豪炒飯味道不錯,不太油膩軟硬適中,配合部份只咪咬落很有口感,但用菜粒代替豆角粒粒賣相口感也應該會好一點。其他也不過不失,只有紅梅子配黑豚肉就較一般,味道怪怪的。整體服務不錯,部分員工很smart 👍🏻😊

萬豪酒店西餐廳的自助餐一向都口碑載道,但中菜亦不輸蝕,昨天有幸在網上訂了11點的半價午餐,原本正價要$500一位,現在二位祇須$500,真是物有所值。五星級酒店,環境、衛生和服務都不用質疑,菜式的精緻,師傅的廚藝,都得到讚賞與認同,點心我叫了鵝肝批、皮鬆脆,鵝肝香軟嫩滑,小菜點了牛肝菌羊架、雜菌炆雞和兩份琵琶豆腐,色香味倶全,伴以白飯,簡直絶配。

近日紅雨黃雨不間斷,但無礙我們為好友慶祝生日。當然最緊要是選擇好地點,金鐘太古廣場的食肆絕對是不二之選。結果我們約了在萬豪酒店中菜廳吃晚飯。那裡裝潢雅緻貴氣,食物質素好,地鐵直達,不怕風來不怕雨,開開心心、舒舒服服慶祝生日,稍貴也是值得的。我們要了四個小菜,兩個小甜品,並豪氣地一人一客釀蟹蓋,以表隆重其事。龍蝦汁焗釀蟹蓋 — 蟹蓋不算大,兩百多元一客,有點貴。但當掀起那層薄薄金黃色脆皮,很有驚喜,餡料全是蟹肉,滿滿一蓋,清甜的蟹肉吸收了龍蝦精華的湯汁更是精髓,每一口都是味蕾享受,貴得其所爾!萬豪脆皮雞 — 招牌菜色,自然精心製作,半隻雞皮脆肉嫩,香味四溢。碟邊還飾以黃花綠葉,色香味俱全!山楂明蝦球 — 蝦球清甜彈牙,佐以微酸微辣山楂醬汁,好味酸胃。石榴咕嚕肉 — 味道不錯,肉有鮮味,製作比一般講究。倒是名稱令人摸不著邊,真的用了石榴汁嗎?銀杏鮮腐竹米湯浸時蔬 — 這味菜一般是用魚湯,可能為遷就茹素客而用米湯,但也清新可口。紫薯煎堆仔、沖繩黑糖缽仔糕 — 小巧的煎堆仔內餡紫薯蓉,外脆內軟,很好吃。滿滿紅豆的缽仔糕,軟韌甜度恰好。因為是賀生,沒有蛋糕,飯後少少甜品,甜甜蜜蜜,快快樂樂吧!

約了朋友慶祝 由於朋友是JW member 有張食2k減1k 券! 今晚可豪食叫了壼菊花 不過好特別 一倒出來 成个杯菊花碎唔知點算好,飲到一口係! 我就唔多習慣只好找待應請用茶袋入好菊花! 解決了茶問题 點了三個廚師推薦 旦白蟹鉗 、龍蝦汁焗蟹蓋 味道水準保持個月人比較喜歡蟹蓋另外龍蝦 賣上色彩豐富 新鮮 不錯 物有所值帶子木耳 比較清 味道也配合甜品紫薯脆奶好特別 味道很好必食有卷折扣了價錢非常 ok ! 咁多年keep 住水準係杯茶特別了!

With all the success we had from our first Eatigo experience, I knew it won't be very long before we go back to the well again. By following the "50% off" signs on Eatigo, we shortlisted a couple of restaurants before finally picking Man Ho (萬豪中菜廳), the Chinese restaurant on the third floor of Marriott Hotel in Admiralty as the lucky winner. I had the pleasure of visiting Man Ho just once before but that was at their other location in Chek Lap Kok. This branch is obviously a lot more convenient geographically but with all the choices available in Admiralty, it's not surprising that I have never been here before.

This place is absolutely huge but judging from the condition of the wallpaper, furniture and carpet, it's definitely due for a major facelift.

They are currently doing a promotion on Yunnan wild mushrooms so there's a whole section in the food menu showcasing around a dozen dishes with the Yunnan mushroom theme but we decided to pass.

Steamed morel mushroom dumplings (摩利野菌餃) ($80) - Very very nice. The morel mushrooms were well seasoned and the touch of truffle was perfect. The best out of the three dumplings for sure (Grade: 4/5).

Pretty interesting idea to have the steamed crab claw wrapped in a beetroot flavored wrapper. This would taste a lot better if the crab claw was a little more meaty (Grade: 3/5)!

Deep-fried crab claw with shrimp mousse (百花釀蟹鉗) ($108) - The star of the afternoon without question. This was partly due to the fact that we have not been to a traditional Chinese banquet for a long time so everyone was missing this classic from the wedding banquet menu!

I have to admit, this was really yummy. Very nice crispy batter working well with the silky smooth shrimp mousse and crab claw. I would obviously like to see a more meaty crab claw but for $108 (after the discount, $54 a pop!), I ain't complaining (Grade: 4/5).

也不能怪她,萬豪貴妃叉燒 Honey-roasted barbecued pork 實在吸引啊,選用雲南土豬豬鬃肉製作,脂肪不多、肉質爽彈,加上蜜汁甜香好吃,喜歡有咬口的人士必愛!媽媽我唯有乖乖上繳其中一件,切好再進貢識食妹妹了~

Jayson 師傅很有心,特地為我們預留了 牛肝菌金魚餃 Steamed Scallop dumpling with porcini mushroom,金魚餃超可愛,除了帶子鮮甜又滿有牛肝菌香氣,妹妹不吃菇,這個可以盡情享用了!

接著的 金池玉龍 Sauteed Lobster with egg yolk sauce 也超讚,龍蝦尾煮得剛好,肉質又嫩又爽,配上金濃蛋黃醬及櫻花蝦,滋味鮮香不凡,我用了好大意志力才控制住不要連汁喝掉!

然後又有 椰皇雪蓮子燉鮮鮑 Double-boiled abalone soup with chickpeas in coconut,超夠火候的燉湯中,除了鮮甜的鮑魚、膠質盡出的雪蓮子也是亮點,鮮甜濃厚的燉湯也一點不能剩,兩母女一起乖乖喝個清光!

坦白就,喝完燉湯我已飽了大半,但接下來這 富國魚露蹄筋伴頭抽雞樅菌 Braised pork tendons with fish sauce and termite mushrooms in soy sauce 很有趣,帶麻香的軟腍蹄筋十分刺激食慾,爽脆的雞樅菌也非常好吃。

接著當 蔥香雲英雞 Chilled chicken with spring onions 上檯時,妹妹已經吃飽、乖乖爬上BB車去睡了,但此雞又實在香口嫩滑,媽媽我唯有更加努力,別辜負了美味菜式!

要完成清爽不膩的 竹裡居賢 Steamed bamboo pith rolls with vegetables, wolf berries in rice broth 也不難,但 野生珍菌窩燒飯 Braised rice with assorted wild mushrooms 就無力清碗了~

因為,要留肚給甜品紫薯香酥脆奶 Deep-fried purple sweet potato with vanilla milk 呢;它是紫薯酥及炸鮮奶的結合體,也是天使魔鬼混合體,邪惡卻美味得令人無法抗拒... 吃完再喝口清新楊枝甘露,感覺不能再滿足,又要趕回家飲減肥茶去!!!

腦細請食飯,當然要到高尚食府,方能顯得出他的衣著顯風度,優雅豪情高!萬豪酒店的中菜廳自是佳選。花雕蛋白蒸蟹鉗蟹肉鮮甜非凡,蛋白極度的滑,好像吃著豆腐花,更滲出花雕的清香,超勁好食!柚皮扣得相當入味,趁海參鬥腍鬥爽,好一個巧妙的組合。蝦籽看似不多,竟能散發出濃列的香氣,令人嘆為觀止!牛肝菌豆乾炒銀芽是滿滿的牛肝菌香,豆乾有咬口,銀芽亦炒得爽。芝麻煎堆仔上桌時是熱騰騰的,更突出芝麻的香,煎堆仔煙煙靭靭,沒有過甜,腦細大為讚賞。高級食府自然提供高層次的佳餚,不無道理。

Was staying at the hotel so decided to try out the place. The spacious layout and courteous service was indeed up to par with a world class hotel restaurant in a prime district of Hong Kong. However the dishes themselves, though by no means are substandard, failed to deliver any wow factor. The quality was similar to any typical dim sum restaurant in Hong Kong. So by all means go for the decor and service, but do not expect a stellar gourmet dining experience.

整體上,成餐茶都感覺良好,由裝修、服務到食物都係五星酒店水準,價錢折左算ok啦!下次可以搵埋家姐黎,叫多幾款野食!
