題外話/補充資料: 正體服務員的態度頗佳,當推介美點時,若能夠加多小小笑容和歡顏,就更好了。 結賬時,服務員務請事前應預早清楚賓客與主人家之分,以免搶付賬單的鑒戒場面發生。

之前去過太古城北京樓,人逼逼又嘈又亂,今次去中環店,果然不同,搭多幾個站地鐵都抵!環境:新派中菜格局,安排坐房中,格外寧靜服務:真係無得扣分,我地一行6人坐低,我問佢有冇櫈比我地放袋,佢即刻拎張木枱仔出黎放響牆邊。點菜個陣有d菜名唔知係乜,佢會好有耐性解比我聽。細佬想食富貴鷄,但冇預訂好在佢話做多左1隻,我地即刻要。期間又會主動加茶添水富貴鷄好香荷葉味,鷄好滑 個殼由老豆敲爛,侍應拍即影即有相,仲送迷你金槌子留念,之後由侍應拆殼。片皮鴨保持水準普洱夠濃,老豆至中意清蒸魚入口即溶,如果少d油仲好豆付冬菇煲,豆付好滑上湯莧菜,好似油左dd整體而言好滿意,唔知飲茶水準如何呢?

I asked them to serve the skin separately from the meat. the skin was oily but crispy. the meat was tender but a bit dry (not juicy). the wrap was thin & became cold before all was consumed. I wonder if they know there is such a thing called tortilla box, in which mexican restaurants keep tortilla warm on the dining table

this dish did not look the prettiest, but boy did it taste wonderful! the jumbo prawn was done just right, with crunchy feel. the crust with the salty egg gave an uncommon flavor & not salty at all.

service was good, as expected of a tourist class restaurant. the wine menu covers a broad range of prices. I picked a bottle of red ($300) that had a decent taste.

I don’t know if this restaurant line is a flagship of the maxim corp or not. but knowing that 2 locations had gone out of business, I wonder if its management or executive chef needs to reinvent themselves on many fronts.

We went to the one in central today which has slightly more chinese elements in it, but still furnished with a western look. In the middle of the dinner, I suddenly realised there was some passionate music playing at the background and almost everyone had turned their heads towards the same direction at my back. I turned and found a noodle master pulling noodles! I haven't seen one for long and the last I saw was at my Primary age I think. I was extremely excited about it and was once again amazed by the refine noodles that the master skillfully pulled. Such a nice show to watch!
P.S. They don't have it in their PP branch.

Instead of a strongly flavoured chicken soup, we decided to have the Winter Melon Soup which was listed on Chef Special today. The soup was full of winter melon puree but was not too thick. The taste was light but the conpoy taste stood out mildly which was pretty nice I think.

Cilantro was all over the dish, I figured I somehow accepted the unique taste of cilantro and found its taste pretty refreshing now. The portion of the pork and onions were very generous too. The pork was quite tender and the taste was nothing special at all. An average dish to go with the rice.

I have never seen Shrimp Balls in such a big size, which I literally feel full after the first one, but was too good that I had my second one. The shrimp ball was very meaty and was bouncy in texture with a thin fried crusting. The shrimp taste was strong and tasted delicious with the sweet sauce. Nice dish that worth trying!

The peking duck was heavenly made and tasted. One minor drawback is that the duck was not cut in front of us, which the PP branch does. Anyhow the waiter did show us the duckie, both ways before serving the duck. The roasted duck looked much bigger and prettier than Wu Gong with a much shinier brown skin.

One head-burned poor duckie can fill up two porcelain duck plate in Peking Garden. The portion was actually a bit less than average, but the arrangement is definitely the best. The size and thickness of each single piece was almost exactly the same, marvellous work! The duck wasn't very fat but the oil could be withheld within the skin, so the duck taste was very strong and flavourable. Most of the slices were meat slice which they were all tendor in texture.

What I love most was actually their flour pancake, the flour scent and the taste was heaven's work. It was made very thin and light to touch but not easily broken.

One typically nice thing about having Peking Duck is that you could usually fully utilise the remaining bones and meat for soup or sauteed minced duck dish. However in Peking Garden they would not provide this kind of service. And if you want the soup/ sauteed dish, you have to order them as a separate dish but not add on dish. Such a rip off.

My sweet tooth was yelling for Banana Fritter but the two guys said they had no room for dessert unless I am having the whole dish! How horrible


Anyway, I do love dinning at Peking Garden as I found they do provide quality food every time. I also found the Central Branch more fun to dine in than the PP Branch. The dinning atmosphere is much more causal and the decor is slightly more Chinese in Central Branch. It might be a bit pricey, but the quality and service undoubtedly deserve the price.

朋友仔resign 了.. 一伙兒farewell 去~~第一次食北京樓, 見到好靚既茶具每一隻都有中國人像~~至於食物方面, 有…醉雞 酒味濃郁樸鼻, 深深滲入雞裡。雞肉鮮嫩, 讚!小龍包 皮薄多汁, 豬肉嫩滑。配以香醇既醋, 好味春卷 皮炸得脆, 略嫌餡少了一點, 不過熱辣辣~~~甜酸排骨 很油的。而且排骨外層既粉挺厚, 似食粉多過食肉蔥爆牛肉 牛肉嫩滑, 食落去無蘇味, 感覺似豬肉多d瑤柱蛋白炒飯 飯炒得完完整整一粒粒, 唔鬆散又乾身。不錯炒麵 唔記得左個名, 不過好甜。食一口已經覺得甜了.. 可能食開炒麵都係鹹的, 有d 唔習慣tim.. 由於太耐無見, 掛住傾計, 無影到食物相..

有客來訪,BOOK了北京樓。當日叫了商務SET,服務很不錯,所有食品也分好了再上,很適合商務之用。小碟是黃瓜及酸瓜,好味清淡,不過不失。主菜食物之中,海蜇、上湯菜心、明蝦、糖醋排骨等皆四平八穩,整體也好吃,亦不多油,不覺得膩。所有人也將焦放在北京填鴨之上,所以講多D,其實我覺得唔好的,首先,的確鴨皮脆,肉亦嫩滑,但用作包鴨的皮實在太厚了。即使夾了三件鴨,入口仍覺得好粉feel。而且,客人之中有北京人,變相這個有點廣東特色的菜色給比下去了。不過,好的地方是,由於是分好了再上,待應包了再上枱,不用自己包,也不錯。另外,那個湯燉翅也令人覺得怪怪地。白色汁,加上十分CREAMY,令我們一行人都覺得非常似Carbonara的白汁,味道其實無問題,但飲入口的感覺很怪。結帳,都算貴,每人二百多。

The date that we brought our American visitors to the Peking Garden Restaurant by Maxim's for dinner, as the place would provide spectacular Chinese culture to the friends. Around 8:00 pm, the chef came out with a wheel table, on top of it was placed a lump of flour, then the chef started to rub the flour & pulled it from thick noodle strips into very thin strips with his fingers, everybody was attracted by the demonstration, then clapped their hands loud when the show finished. Around 8:00 pm, the chef came out with a wheel table, on top of it was placed a lump of flour, then the chef started to rub the flour & pulled it from thick noodle strips into very thin strips with his fingers, everybody was attracted by the demonstration, then clapped their hands loud when the show finished. The other gimmick was to use a tiny golden hammer to break the cover (mud) of the "Beggar Chicken", which was delicious & the guest could keep the hammer as souvenir, what a unexpected gift for my friend. Actually, it was not the 1st time for me to visit Peking Garden Restaurant, as I love the atmosphere & the food is in good quality, also it's a place for one of the program to entertain foreigners.

It has been quite a long time I have not been to the eatery, it was used to be business meals and this is the first time having 'relaxed' dinner. The five of us have the following dishes:Vegetarian Goose - it is a wrap filled with veggie and rice noodles I think. I really cannot tell what it is since it is a reddish stuffing ... but not bad, it is quite delicious instead!Fried fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce - the fish is just fried and crunchy, together with the fresh and sour sauce, it is nice to

The five of us have the following dishes:
Vegetarian Goose - it is a wrap filled with veggie and rice noodles I think. I really cannot tell what it is since it is a reddish stuffing ... but not bad, it is quite delicious instead!
Fried fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce - the fish is just fried and crunchy, together with the fresh and sour sauce, it is nice to match with rice. Yet I prefer more sauce on the fish, quite dry. But the texture of the fish is good
Deep fried chicken with dried garlic - the portion is small. The garlic should be more, yet the chicken is tender and served hot. Also good with rice
Peking Duck - excellent presentation and really great! The seafood sauce is tasty and the wrap serves hot. The duck skin is crispy, and the meat is well-cooked. I am not a big fan of skin, and it is definitely more preferable to have skin and meat together. The whole thing is just yummy! As usual, cannot over-eat.
Pan fried Lamb slice with Spring onion - not bad at all and comes well with rice. Just that there is far more onion than lamb slices ... and it can be more spicy.
Stewed cabbage with chinese ham - the cabbage is well-cooked and sticky *due to the sauce* but the saltiness of the veggie is just right from the ham. Nice dish.
Toffee apple - banana enemy chooses apple, haha. Just that the apple pieces are too big, yet the crispy skin is superb! And the soda flavor is strong.
Fried roll - it looks nice ... but I am too full to have one already

For sure I do enjoy the handicraft noodle show. And unexpectedly, the room stating Mr. Tung is our previous Chief Executive!

Back to the eatery, with the quality of the food and courtesy of the staff, plus high chance to meet celebrities ... it is a recommended place overall, in particular ... business meetings *lol*

服務態度很好!!每當見到醉雞都會叫的我, 試了這個令我大失所望, 味道相當甜, 沒有酒味.簡單的青炒菜心比醉雞好得多.這裡的片皮鴨即叫即做, 只可全隻叫, 盛惠大概$400! 一隻鴨可以片出兩大碟鴨肉, 另外, 鴨殼可打包.這裡還有拉面表演!

好友相聚,選了又選終於敲定這家北京樓。酸菜是豆腐,小黃瓜及酸瓜,好味。三個人只是點了幾款食物,包括1. 煎鍋貼 - 好像不錯,但因為腸胃不適沒有亦不敢試2. 蒸素餃 - 掂!比小南國的好3. 雪菜魚絲湯面 - 麵好滑,魚是我非常喜歡的黑(鱈)魚,整體也好吃4. 上湯菜心苗 - 嫩,但多油。5. 雞絲粉皮 - 雞腌過有鹹味、麻醬亦香,不過又是不敢吃太多帶了相機不過忙著吃,忘了拍照 都算貴因為其實我們都吃的少,要是男生一定不夠喇哈哈還有還有,不知怎的侍應給我們幾個的碗呀毛巾呀勺子呀分別都有食物殘跡 - 有點噁心的

都算貴因為其實我們都吃的少,要是男生一定不夠喇哈哈

還有還有,不知怎的侍應給我們幾個的碗呀毛巾呀勺子呀分別都有食物殘跡 - 有點噁心的

其實都食過好多次, 未大裝修之前已開始來了, 但真的好少寫呢.今日都係和媽妹和豬豬女友飲茶啫.12點來到, 唔多人.服務當然好, 哥哥馬上帶我們坐下了.看一看d碟, 好靚呀...都係媽話事.叫了幾味送, 點心反而少.口水雞幾好味, 但好細碟...妹竟叫擔擔麵, 雖好細碗, 但又看似ok.鍋貼係即叫即煎的, 剛煎起, 正!其他食物都不錯.如果和pp果間比, 係差不多呢...4人食了五百幾.
