I was kind of excited to see that there was an a line outside this place, which was usually super crowded, and I really wanted to try this Ramen that a lot of people have praised. The comments have been quite adverse, some people really loved it for how oily it was, and some people hated it. I personally thought it was pretty mediocre, and that the fat was not really Something that’s necessary for this bowl of Ramen.On the bright side, the egg and the char siu was quite good. On the bright side, the egg and the char siu was quite good. I really am not a fan of adding raw onions to any kind of Ramen broth, but perhaps if they didn’t, I might not have been able to finish the noodles. The noodles themselves are quite springy and on the thicker side, not the kind of Kyushu Ramen I like.
I accidentally dropped some broth onto the table and within five minutes condensed and solidified like butter … that’s an attestation to how fatty it was. honestly, what bothered me was not how fat it was, but how the fat was not making the Ramen that much better, it didn’t smell very aromatic, and only left oil stains on my lips.
