Nowadays, amazing fine dining restaurants are everywhere around Central, however, one dining experience you definitely can't miss is the dinner at Watermark. Located on top floor of the ferry pier 7, shop L. This restaurant is surrounded with a breezy balcony and see-through windows where you can see Kowloon side. As massive ferries approach the pier, the restaurant sways calmly from side by side. A high quality, seafood and grilled, fine dining restaurant above a pier with a fantastic view, wh
Last Sunday, when I placed my first step into the restaurant, it felt like walking down the isle of a catwalk show but through a fresh waterfall, soft as cotton candy, just melting in your mouth. With romantic lighting, relaxing instrumental background music and a warm orange lamp on the dining table, it felt welcoming and cozy like a family. The menu was a well selection of most traditional French delicacies, each dish as tempting as pinching a cute baby’s face. For my starter, I ordered a Tomato, potato, egg and asparagus salad. When the crunchy colorful salad arrived, I attacked it in no time, excited to taste all the astonishing flavors. After such a wonderful starter, I couldn’t wait to try my main course. In the menu, there were millions of mouth-watering dishes but for a change, I wanted to ask the chef for his recommendations since it was my first time being there. There he was, a giant chubby chef approaching me with a million dollar smile on his face. I could tell that this guy is very caring, polite and quite humorous. At last, he cooked me the restaurant’s signature dish, ‘Aged prime Nebraska rib eye’. I was stunned by the food presentation! The rib eye had a spectacular texture, tender and juicy. The green pepper corn sauce on the side had a remarkable contrast with the beef. Because of the ageing, there was a strong deep beef taste, but together with the sweet and spicy sauce, it tasted like paradise of essence. After an unforgettable main course, the waiter presented me the ‘dessert of the day’ which was a slice of blue-berry cheese cake with mango panna cotta on the side. Both desserts were smooth as silk and had fresh fruits on the top.
Overall, the food, atmosphere and the service was great. The salad was most favourite, it tasted amazing due to the warm potatoes together with spring cold salad leaves.
I would love to recommend my teachers, coaches and even my classmates to this restaurant, I would definitely visit it again because it gave me such a memoriable experience.
