一直聽聞Four Seasons 的Afternoon Tea大排長龍. 故此我們2PM已經到達The Lounge, 職員告訴我排20!! 心知不妙! 她說大約4PM會再contact我們. 我們唯有到ifc打發時間.我們一行6人一直爭扎是否等下去, 因為大家都沒有吃lunch. 相當肚餓. 直到4:15PM, 電話還沒有響. 已經很洩氣. 我叫大家再忍耐一陣, 吃了其他東西便無法再去吃Afternoon Tea. 但結果大家都投降了. 到了附近某快餐醫肚, 直至4:40PM, 電話終於晌起!! 但大家已經填飽肚. 其中3人決定放棄. 我告訴職員我們少了3位....職員話....要再排...........唉!! 大家既心情已經跌落谷底!! 但我不想防棄. 又再排過. 結果這次很快, 約8 mins就有了!! 奉勸各位, 多過4個人的話要再早好多來拿位. 否則是白等了!!入坐後, 職員安排了近門口的位置. 感覺上檯和檯之間太近了. 坐得不夠relax. 雖然有d失望, 但無可否認serve我們的waiter非常好禮貌的, 我們3人order了3人份量的tea sets. 飲品依舊是

入坐後, 職員安排了近門口的位置. 感覺上檯和檯之間太近了. 坐得不夠relax.

雖然有d失望, 但無可否認serve我們的waiter非常好禮貌的,

我們3人order了3人份量的tea sets. 飲品依舊是我的最愛Darjeeling 配milk. 另外朋友則是Espresso 和latte.

鹹點一直是我喜愛. 下層的鹹點算幾好. 尤其是那個像puff. Smoked Salmon sandwich亦都不錯.

中層的scones其實OK的., 但我們實在太飽. 吃了一個就決定放棄, 打包拿了番屋企.

上層的甜點賣相精緻. 但每一樣都感覺偏酸...

而另外自選的mini cake....外型好特別. 一個像軍艦, 朋友說內裡好像是蘋果蓉之類. 而我的栗子cake我就覺得十分好味.

大致上食品係OK, 但未知於好好食.

而我的Darjeeling Tea....平心而論, 上次去Langham Hotel 飲的較出色, 這次的茶葉味太普通了.

以價錢計, 這裡比其他hotel的afternoon tea不算貴. 但食物和排隊時間是有些少扣分了.

週末,天晴。我們一於到了四季嘆個下午茶,很高興被安排坐在窗邊。望出去,是ICC,或許這時也同時有很多人在對岸嘆下午茶呢 由於午餐食得很飽,我們要了一客一人份tea set,友人喝菊花茶,我就要了香檳。飲品很快就到了。香檳凍度剛好,有淡淡果香,氣泡幼細,很清新。好喝!友人的菊花茶也香,不錯。三層架點心到了。各樣水準都算平均,好吃!其中我最喜歡的是迷你碎蛋bun和plain scone。友人則幾乎包辦所有甜品這裡環境舒適,服務十分專業細心,讚!就這樣邊聊天和聽著live music,邊淺嚐美點飲品,享受窗外透進來的陽光,不知不覺就過了一個輕鬆寫意的下午了。

每杯約有 expresso 的分量,並附上產地認証「出世紙」及獨立編號,特別矜貴。本少爺的是 13399。

侍應提醒,如欲嘗到此極品的甘香,不宜先加奶或糖,可先嘗一口真味再決定。我當然是要原汁原味啦。

先聞咖啡香。第一種層次是一種略帶黑朱古力味,很香的沖泡飄香 (有點似 mocha 香)。再來一小口在口中慢嚐;喝得出比一般咖啡濃郁、純厚,是味道甘甜的咖啡味道,絕對沒有任何苦澀或酸味,此乃第二種層次。最特別是它的第三種層次 - after taste,會像紅酒般令人感受到留在舌根及咽喉內的甘香餘韻;我喝後一小時仍感覺到口中那股貓屎濃香!真的感覺超棒。

是日一行三人點了三杯。總結:嘗一杯此生無憾!現在已有點心思思想再試。以後若有喜慶事情慶祝,來這裡喝一小杯獎勵自己也很不錯!

It was 1645. Full of diners inside the Lobby Lounge. Finally we got a table at nearly 1730. It didn't matter as the most important was the food quality. We finally got a table when many people had finished their tea =]When I sat down, I found that my chair was quite high (i'm 1.7m tall). A waiter discovered me that I was 'eye-catching' so he changed another chiar for me. I suddenly found that I became shorter! Good service.We ordered High Tea Set for Two ($410) only as it was nearly dinner

When I sat down, I found that my chair was quite high (i'm 1.7m tall). A waiter discovered me that I was 'eye-catching' so he changed another chiar for me. I suddenly found that I became shorter!
Good service.


We ordered High Tea Set for Two ($410) only as it was nearly dinner time. For the drinks, I was curious about the Black Tea called the Chocolat Is it added chocolate? It would then be weird. Have a try then. Another one was the white tea called the Silver Leaf.
Chocolat.It's a kind of black tea. No added chocolate but smells like chocolate.

My chocolat. tea came minutes later.
Normal tea colour but not as black as other black tea. When I put it near my nose, I could smell the chocolate aroma!!
According to the waiter, no chocolate was added. It was just simply tea. Its special aroma came from the leaf itself. It was so aromatic that I dared not to drink. It was because I knew it would taste like tea and would be disappointing.
Yeah, it just tasted like tea definitely as it was actually tea. (I had to come back to reality!! XDD)

For the Silver Leaf, as it was a white tea, it was as tasteless as a cup of water. Nothing special.

For the 1st decker, there was strawberry macarons, mini cheesecake topped with mousse & raspberry, pineapple custard puff and yogurt with jelly on top.

Strawberry macaron: I've tried macarons in the Blue Bar. This macaron was perfectly crunchy outside as expected. Moist. Not too sweet and not too chewy.
I had both of the 2 macarons.
However, I enjoy having the macarons with ganche inside more, like JPH, since it adds another texture and surprise.

Mini cheesecake topped with mousse & raspberry: Quite rich cheese flavour, but it was not as creamy or cheesy as Mandarin Oriental's. Together with the biscuit-like base, it was like baked NY cheesecake. The mousse was so light (or small) that i could taste nothing.

Pineapple custard puff and the yogurt with jelly on top: The 2 desserts that the older one didin't like. They were shockingly sour, a bit sour though. As a sour lover, I am okay with that. I admired with the chef's creativity.
The sour taste just decreased my fullness. The yogurt did the same thing. However, I couldn't taste what was the flavour of the jelly and the sauce in the bottom.

For the 2nd decker, it was the Raisin and Plain Scone with clotted cream, raspberry jam and apricot jam. I tried the raisin scone. It was okay. Not crumbly. Yet, Four Seasons' was not as light and fluffy as the one in Mandarin Oriental's. Yeah, this one was a bit too dense and missed the aroma.
Fortunately, the clotted cream and the jam could hide its weakness. The famous rose pedal jam in MO was better, though.
3rd decker

For the 3rd decker, there were mainly sandwiches, mini quiche and a mini cheese cornflakes wrap. This deck didn't make me excited. Instead, I felt a bit disppointed when I considered the price of the set.

Mini quiche: Ive tasted the cheese quiche tart in Blue Bar. It was amazingly delicious. Yet, this one was worse than that. Perhaps it was so small. And, its tart was a bit moist. I didn't know why. I could only praise it for its lovely size. It should be quite difficult to make this.


Cheese cornflakes wrap: I love cheese, especially those with strong flavour, like blue cheese. However, I think the cheese flavour was too outstanding here, so I didn't know what was inside the wrap. Besides, it was unfortunately the last one that we ate. It was not crispy anymore.

In fact, the high tea set was up to standard. It would usually become harsh when describing the food in a detailed way.

Although a waiter kindly helped me to change my chair, the service was only okay, especially in this hotel. Unlike the Blue Bar next to the Lobby Lounge, the waiters here were not that active. They didn't actively pour water for me.

It was 1815. Some diners started dinner already. We had to go. And one thing I must remember: the 'Chocolate' tea!

9. never order a la carte desserts, the high tea set tasted much better, like the so called fruit tart had actually no tart at all, being just whole large boring almond cake

不知是鵝肝定雞肝的mini burger有點腥,還要加泰式的甜酸醬,味道更怪!

中層: 求其放4個鬆餅,應該是填飽肚子最簡單的方法吧!

大部分甜品都帶有酸味,應該是減低甜膩的感覺吧!所以吃上來頗醒胃
最甜應是第2行左起第1個的chocolate truffle,用黑朱古力,不會太甜,但絕不會苦,反而有黑朱古力的甘香細膩,正!
第1行左起第2個是green appple pie,帶有蘋果肉,甜中帶醱,更有青蘋果的清香,可惜是refill的甜品,只有小小的一件!
有朵可愛橙色小花的puff,外皮鬆脆,但想不到內裡的cream竟是極酸>~<我還是喜歡愛吃甜的puff!
其他的都一般,沒有什麼大驚喜,也不難食,反正就是還我們舒舒服服地度過一個悠閒的下午。

英式下午茶,總是給人享受著一個相當休閒的下午,可是生活的繁忙,令我一直也不能認真地抽空一個下午去見識它。六月的上旬,考試週前的一天,就來一個英式下午茶,放鬆心情去迎接考試。兩時多到達留下聯絡方法之後,大約二時四十五分便收到酒店的電話表示可以入座。坐下之後,便先點了飲品,然後再研究餐牌。二人份的三層塔包括兩杯飲品,所以我們三人只需額外點一杯飲品便行了。我點了熱的有機荔枝茶,以白色瓷壺送上,份量大約是三杯的茶。荔枝味不算香濃,喝起來也沒有甜甜的味道,反而茶味幽香,茶和荔枝比例不太平均。媽媽的檸檬香草茶($55)的檸檬味來得自然,而且茶香濃郁,不過香草味就不太突出。至於妹妹的有機荔枝柚子茶(+$25)冰凍無比,是相當消暑的夏日飲品。柚子茶清甜,反而荔枝味則跟我的荔枝茶一樣淡薄。單叫的甜品比三層塔更早送到,先來的是特濃朱古力蛋糕配鹽味焦糖雪糕($110)。最頂的朱古力慕絲香滑甜美,中間夾著一層薄脆,朱古力味同樣香濃。底層的朱古力蛋糕不是一般的鬆軟,是較硬身的類別,口感跟朱容力硬餅類似。鹽味焦糖雪糕是較少接觸的一種雪糕口味,焦糖味香甜但又不會太甜膩,大概是因為雪糕中加了鹽,中和了焦糖的一點甜,吃

法式焦糖巧克力燉蛋配咖啡雪糕($110),不過在我放下相機之前雪糕已被清空。妹妹表示咖啡雪糕滑溜,而且咖啡味亦相當濃郁。至於燉蛋,表面的焦糖薄脆燒得剛剛好,沒有燒過火的焦味,薄薄的一層也不會令人吃後太膩。加入了朱古力的燉蛋,雖依然相當滑溜,不過滑溜的程度令人覺的口感較像慕絲,失去了燉蛋的精粹。

我們先從中間的一層入手,始終
鬆餅還是要熱熱的才好吃。拿上手時是暖暖的,切開鬆餅可以看到微微的煙,是新鮮的表現。牛油香直走進鼻子裡,果醬的甜味自然清新,塗了厚厚的一層更是令人吃得特別滿足。

一個半的鬆餅看似不多,可是吃起來果腹感相當大,不過甜品總是不能抗拒。先是
草莓蛋白脆餅,頂著一片薄薄的爽甜草莓,蛋白脆餅沒有甜至舌頭變麻,甜味自然而且帶出淡淡的草莓味,很容易便能吃畢兩件了。
雲呢嗱芝士撻是以奶凍配上芝士,奶凍表面佈滿密密的雲呢嗱籽,吃起來奶香突出,不過質感較硬實,跟下面的芝士層的質感十分相似。至於最底的撻底,吃起來有點鬆散,味道只屬平平
橙味泡芺包著細滑的吉士,不過那淡淡的橙味總是覺得有點格格不入。
草莓乳酪用玻璃小杯載著酸酸的乳酪,加上一層較甜的草莓醬,兩者剛好中和了大家較極端的味道,不過又是獨自完成兩杯的確有點吃力。

芝士酥皮撻,以蕃茄這個配搭較好,清爽的蕃茄配上香脆的小撻,相反配上芝士就沒有吃得那麼舒爽。味道較特出的有
蛋沙律多士,魚籽的鹹味配在蛋沙律上,比起一般的蛋沙律更令人回味,多士亦烘得香脆可口。除了中間一件件小方形的三文治,
三文魚丶火腿和青瓜各配上麥包或白麵包,可是也不夠放在旁邊的
火腿卷突出。利用微煎過的麵包卷著薄薄的火腿,吃起來不像一般冷冰冰的三文治,也更突顯它在鹹食層的不平凡。

Apple Pie是屬有酒的甜品,利用青蘋果較酸的特質,令整件甜品不會太甜膩。清爽的蘋果粒更是令人吃得越來越起勁。

脆皮布朗尼雪條外型相當討好,加入果仁的脆皮跟脆皮雪條的口感十分相似,內裡的布朗尼味道濃郁,軟硬適中。

完成大部份的甜品丶鬆餅加上補充的甜品,這頓下午茶也完全覆蓋了晚餐的份量,當晚餐也是一直在回味這豐富的下午茶呢!

Went there on wed at 8: 30 am , it was so busy , so we need to wait for 10 mins to get a table. Ordered a Benedict and a Lychee green tea. Is a perfect Benedict, clean cut on the egg white, with runny yolk no any solid part. U have to add salt yourself otherwise is tasteless.Friend ordered a traditional breakfast - poached egg cooked perfectly , sausage was tasty . muffin bread is freshly baked.

一直好喜愛四季酒店,之前試過Blue Bar 和 Caprice 覺得兩個都不錯,所以決定同朋友試afternoon tea - The Lounge.大約三點三到達,看到lobby已經有好多人有等待, 留了位, 是第13張的waiting list 太誇張!!!!!和朋友到IFC走走, 等等等....大約等了90分鐘才可以入座服務員說有些人在12:30親身來留位,才能準時3:00開始吃.....因為很餓,二話不說就點了 tea set for 2 $380環境很迫又很嘈,而且每張之間的距離很近,覺得好不舒服底層 - 除了中間的sandwiches較好少少之外,其他都很難吃羊肉腸 又乾又硬 好像狗零食-_-Parma ham餅 餅底又是好硬..味道很差..咖哩蛋沙律包 包好乾..... 中層 -scones 算是最安全的..不過不失頂層 - macaron 太甜花花泡芙 又是乾的...其他沒有試已經和朋友走了...其實在吃底層的時候已經好失望, 等了很久如果是好吃的,我不介意等可是...真-的-很-難-吃-x100000不明白為什麼評分會有3.7 還有每天去的人還有那麼多~~~so

Special Easter Afternoon Tea at the Four Seasons – Central

We waited one hour for afternoon tea. But it was entirely worth it; today Four Seasons had a special Easter Afternoon tea, and it was cute as well as delicious. Along with the normal tray platter of savories, small cakes, and scones, there was an easter themed buffet of various sweets. There were macarons with rabbit ears, little chicken cakes, cookies decorated with fancy egg drawings, and much more (this doesn’t even cover the tray portion of our meal)!

This was my favorite dessert from the table: a larger-than-normal apple macaron with grass-cream and bunny ears. It wasn’t too sweet, a fault of many macarons, and had just the right tartness to it.

Another specialty of today’s easter afternoon tea, the little chicken “cakes”. It only had a thin layer of fondant and was filled with a thick lemon paste-like substance. Quite good, but not as good as the macarons.

The carrot cupcakes were certainly pretty, but the muffin part of it was dry, and the frosting average. It certainly couldn’t compare to the carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting from Sift.

Tiramisu (with white chocolate egg on top), looked great in my pictures. The tiramisu itself was pretty normal, and I didn’t get around to eating the egg on it but it was pretty, so I took a glass.

One more specialty from the table: a creamy, thick hot chocolate, and fluffy, soft, rabbit shaped marshmallows to go with it. I love thick hot chocolates and this cup of hot chocolate was perfect. The rabbit marshmallow that goes with it is like soft powder!

There were also a tray of little goodies on the dessert table, but I won’t go into them all. There was a very good “popsicle” of room temperature chocolate that had crunchy bits that tasted good as well.

And now for the tea tray: three levels, as is common, with savories, scones, and sweets. After the sweets from the buffet, we could hardly munch on the sweets. There was youghurt (in the cup), a macaron (which I have yet to try, we have brought the leftovers from the tray home), a cream puff and a cake. Frankly these didn’t taste as good as the stuff on the buffet, but were cute and of quality.

Then there were the scones, half of which we packed home as well. The scones here are huge and very filling, which I’m not sure is quite a good thing. They gave us two per person, but each of us only managed to eat one, especially with the other goodies around us. They were warm and had the right texture though.

We all particularly enjoyed the savory platter. The sandwiches were all normal, but the egg salad topped with a few pieces of caviar tasted superb. Also, I really enjoyed the roll, which was a crepe-like pastry wrapping parma ham. There was also a salmon puff that was quite tasty.

All in all this was a wonderful afternoon tea (as you may already know, I love afternoon teas in general anyway, but this was special), and the Easter treats were, well, special. Having this afternoon tea was a one-time experience that I savored; waiting for an hour, not eating lunch, was all worth this visit to The Lounge, Four Seasons.

The place was already half-full when we returned at three, with the biggest crowd being around the supply table. No wonder - the table was covered with a rich variety of nicely crafted (and mouth-watering too!) sweets, including the nicely crafted chicken cakes, macaroons, and many more!

The table would not be opened until 3pm and before treating ourselves to the sweets and cakes, we need to decide what tea we were to have. It was a difficult one to make as numerous choices were available. I kinda regret not ordering a latte but the ginger peach tea as i felt kinda drained of energy in the lazy afternoon. The tea was okay too, being full-bodied with the natural sweetness and aroma of the peach and a light hint of gingery spiciness - perfect to sip with the afternoon tea.

Everyone started digging in at three o'clock sharp and we had a hard time struggling to get a spoonful here and something there. Replenishment was quick, to our relief, and emptied plates were quickly re-filled with the beautiful chick cakes and rabbit-shaped macaroons.I basically tried to sample with what looked good to me - pardon my greediness!


The Pan D' Oro and Raisin Pudding and the Black Cherry and Almond Crumble might not be as attractive in appearance as the other delicies, yet both tasted heavenly. The bread pudding was quite smooth and rich and you could still detect the sweetness of butter on the slices of bread, now softened and melted after soaking up the egg pudding mixture. The bread were nicely arranged and the exposed top of the slices were baked till crunchy, yet not overburnt - it was just alright. The thick vanilla sauce was much appreciated - had a hard time pouring out from the tall jug but it had a rich taste of the natural vanilla and went very well with the soft bread pudding.

The Black Cherry and Almond Crumble surprised me. Not being a fan of cherries, the crumble was extremely tasty nonetheless. With the whole cherries cooked in syrup in the base and large crumbles and crushed almonds on the top, the dessert had two contrasting yet nicely balanced texture and flavour. The cherries were soft and the crumbles were VERY fresh and crunchy. It tasted good of maple syrup and yellow sugar and i love their coarseness. Both baked desserts were so good that i actually helped myself to a second (and large) serve to both!

The Classic Tiramisu was served in tall glasses and was a popular item - was it because of the dessert or the Easter egg on top of the glass cup? Anyway, it was a truly authentic interpretation of the 'classic' Italian dessert - at least the original ingredients were used. Ladyfingers were used instead of the horrifying spongecake; mascarpone cheese and egg yolks were clearly used.There could have been more cocoa powder but the taste of the dessert itself was really nice. It was fresh as the ladyfingers were still crunchy, contrasting with the softness of the cheese. It was really nice - the only thing i got to complain would perhaps be the lack of liquor (an adaptation to suit the taste of the children in an Easter's festive meal?)

Another popular item on the supply table got to be this cute little chicken, in fact a Lemoncello cake. It was the focal of the various cameras flashing and flicking before the supply table was opened. Luckily the plate was soon replenished that i could secure myself one of this, despite being so careless in cracking the crust of it. My bad! The chick was made of crushed spongecake and marzipan - and it was quite nicely crafted, despite not being very tasty. A little oversweetened it was.

There was also the Granny Smith macaroon with the bunny's ear. How cute! Even the coolest person would not be able to hold back but smile at the cute little thing - imagine a bunny hiding itself in the bush, exposing only its long ears - how imaginative and thoughtful of the chef! IIt tasted quite refreshing due to the thin and crunchy green apple strips between the two layers and its sourness balanced the heaviness of the greenapple cream sandwiched between. The macaroon itself had a thin and crunchy crust, and the interior was moist, however not sticky to the teeth - a nicely made macaroon for god knows how hard it was to make one with such high standard! The bunny's ears and the bush were also edible - being made from marzipan - and i happily ate the whole thing within 2 bites, not wanting to waste any of it as a way of showing my appreciation and respect for the chef - people who took it and leave it on the plates and stuff were not doing justice to him and his artwork, and for this i condemn and despise.

Next was the French pastries on the silver tray...being petite in bite-size, i could try a round of everything without stuffing myself to death. There were six cute little snacks, 3 being made of chocolate. I ate according to the intensity of the flavour and thus started with the lightest pear tartlet (the green little one). It was light and refreshing, and among the six i like the lemon tart most. The chocolate snacks were a little too heavy however, with the brownie being the driest.


I also attempted to finish the Frosted Carrot cake so nicely decored with icying sugars being shaped into tiny little carrot sticks. It looked good and tasted good too, and the cake had just the right moisture and texture - not too rich but you could smell the rich taste and aroma of the carrot, which was said to be the same as what's used in Caprice.

Traditionally speaking the lowest deck of savoury bites should be first eaten, followed by the scones and lastly the sweet snacks and bites on the top deck. So we obliged...
First: a round of the fingersandwiches. My favourite among the four was the egg salad on English muffin as there were the right amount of mayo which mixed perfectly with the cubes of egg white. A dash of fish roe further enhanced the flavour, and the muffin base was lightly toasted and so lovely - it reminded me of the Egg Benedict.
The puff pastry was stuffed with smoked salmon and was tasty; the onion and egg quiche was also good, with the onion so finely chopped and mixed in the egg custard on the ultra-thin crust, although i would personally prefer a thicker and yet more crunchy pastry.
The parma ham roll had flakes of parma ham rolled between two savoury crepes. Nice!

In contrast, the finger sandwiches were just medicore as the bread was a little dry and bland in taste.

Middle: of course, there were the plain and raisin scones. They were quite big in portion and it was beyond my ability to finish two on my own! It was a pity to waste as they were, indeed, very nicely baked. They were of the appropriate moisture and texture; not too flaky when cut open, and the crust was the best to taste. What you should not skip is the clotted cream scooped to form an enlongated oval shape; although fattening, they certainly tasted good. Two jams were available - the sweeter raspberry compote and the sourer but refreshing apricot jam. Both were equally tasty. What a pity that i did not have a bottomless stomach to fill!

And finally the top deck of sweet delicies, which consists of a panna cotta-like sweet, pineapple puff pastry, cheesecake mousse and strawberry macaroon. We were almost full after stuffing ourselves with the festive snacks on the supply table we enthusiastically helped ourselves, we had to almost struggle to finish the sweet bites on the toppest dish. They were good tho; its just that we were way too full!

We ate until five, helped ourselves to uncountable cups of tea as we looked out of the window.The afternoon tea set plus buffet costed us a good fortune of $265 per head (+10%) - a luxury indeed! However, given the high quality of handicraft and taste of the snacks, the relaxing environment, the happiness that the cute-looking festive snacks had managed to give you - it was worth the pay. Afterall, grown-ups do not get that much of chance in which they could indulge themselves in pure happiness and joy just with the sight of cute cakes and sweets, and forget about the worries in their lives - somewhat escapist, but this Easter afternoon tea had truly been a therapeutical one.

Easter的第一場重頭戲,是和滯滯猴再嚐四季的High tea,記得兩年前來過這裡慶生,那時候我們還是懷抱著高茶夢的孩子,試過之後也一直念念不忘,迷戀的不是食物本身,而是那份心境吧。Easter時期除了平日经典的三層架點心,還多了有十來款樣式的dessert buffet,絕對豐盛,素來對High tea的食物質素不抱太大期望,所以反而容易收到驚喜應節的EASTER牛油餅,沒有人動它啦Petits four size的幾款小甜點中印象較好的是迷你choc truffle、雪條裝的朱古力棒棒和檸檬脆米撻,choc truffle是經典的紅莓+朱古力組合,朱古力慕斯幼滑香濃,紅莓的酸爽結合朱古力的甘醇,想不好吃也難;朱古力雪條外層是朱古力脆皮,入面則是微溶的朱古力慕斯,偏甜一點,但也美味;檸檬脆米撻的檸檬custard十分清新自然,酸度頗勁,而脆米則增添了脆卜卜的咬口質感,比常見的牛油撻更具匠心。另外三款是栗子千層酥、焗青蘋果批與brownie,都是平庸水準,沒有留下太多印象兔兔macaron原來是青蘋果口味,青蘋果絲清脆微酸,但杏仁餅本身又十分甜,二者對比來得太強烈,恕我倆都接受無能啦

Petits four size的幾款小甜點中印象較好的是迷你choc truffle、雪條裝的朱古力棒棒和檸檬脆米撻,choc truffle是經典的紅莓+朱古力組合,朱古力慕斯幼滑香濃,紅莓的酸爽結合朱古力的甘醇,想不好吃也難;朱古力雪條外層是朱古力脆皮,入面則是微溶的朱古力慕斯,偏甜一點,但也美味;檸檬脆米撻的檸檬custard十分清新自然,酸度頗勁,而脆米則增添了脆卜卜的咬口質感,比常見的牛油撻更具匠心。

另外三款是栗子千層酥焗青蘋果批brownie,都是平庸水準,沒有留下太多印象

兔兔macaron原來是青蘋果口味,青蘋果絲清脆微酸,但杏仁餅本身又十分甜,二者對比來得太強烈,恕我倆都接受無能啦

下圖的藍莓奶凍是另一款我很喜愛的甜點,藍莓醬清新酸甜,奶凍則飽含雲尼拿的芬芳,再配上點綴紅莓乾粒粒的cream,無論視覺還是味道都可圈可點。

雲尼拿朱古力漿本來應該配棉花糖一起飲的,不過我不太喜歡棉花糖,這朱古力漿有點心太軟的口感,牛油應該不少,也品得出雲尼拿的清香;麵包布甸味道還不錯,只是奶味和甜度重了一點,再配vanilla sauce就太甜膩了;Black cherry crumble的crumble酥脆而富牛油香,輔以杏仁更具果仁香與脆口口感,車厘子餡則有點偏甜,不如蘋果/藍莓餡那種甜中中夾雜點酸來得美味。Carrot cup cakes鬆軟香甜,甘筍味較為突出,而且造型上也頗具情趣

平心而論這裡的tiramisu算是mass production裡做得不錯的,可惜當日lunch剛吃過vivi十分地道的tiramisu,這裡自然給比了下去。
mascarpone芝士香濃軟滑,味道純正,沒有過多忌廉的修飾;裡面的咖啡酒就微弱了些,芝士上層的手指餅碎由於缺少咖啡酒的修飾而單調了點
以批量生產的水準來計,算是不錯的了~

還有可愛到捨不得吃的復活節小雞,剛開始小雞被一搶而空,後來可能大家發現只是樣子貨,所以後來小雞儀仗隊孤獨的立在托盤裡沒有人理它們…其實味道也還過得去,外層是用白朱古力脆皮所製,內裡則是意大利檸檬酒餡,甜酸交融,再混上點酒香,也還算有點吃頭~

我們一邊還在開懷大吃,另一邊銀架子和茶水都來齊了。我要了荔枝綠茶,初飲還很清新果香濃郁,之後茶味開始突出,變得有點苦澀了;滯滯則要了輕盈微酸的檸檬香草茶,果味不太突出,整體口感較溫和

唔…我對底層的三明治沒啥好comment的了…咸點中唯一較好吃的一款是魚籽蛋沙律多士洋蔥蛋餅本來不錯,可惜熱度不夠
第二層是四季高茶的強項:scone,始終更喜歡原味,奶味香濃,溫熱時再配點微溶的clotted cream,入口實在覺得很幸福呀~
上層的甜點造型上不及buffet那邊引人,但味道也不差。恕我倆口鈍,都沒吃出下圖是啥材料整的,有熱帶水果的酸甜清爽,也有益力多的乳酸味,最後我們一直顧著聊天(哪有這麼多可聊的呢…)也忘了問了…
沒吃出來…是乳酪的味道嗎?

很好吃的芝士撻,芝士質感軟滑芝味香濃不膩,上層是雲尼拿芬芳很突出的奶凍,再打上一顆清新開胃的紅莓,整體口感純厚又不濃膩。

還有Raspberry macaron: 紅莓可比青蘋果適合做Macaron多得多,這一款酸甜有致,外皮酥脆內裡軟滑,好吃多了~

回望去年今日,我們去了洲際大堂海闊天空,前年呢?即是與四季高茶的初次邂逅了。兩年過後,是覺得這裡食物水準有細微的長進,也頗難得,畢竟自己的口味已愈發挑剔,可以擦出的火花愈發微弱,這背後的緣由,是我們的生活條件愈發好而變得不容易滿足,還是昔日那份不計後果也能樂在其中的心境已蕩然無存?變得現實也未嘗不好,只是我真的擔心幾年以後我們已經失去做夢的能力,唯一的指望變成閒暇時吃頓高級料理看場電影、儲夠錢與假期就去個旅遊,而自己從前喜歡過什麼、欣賞過什麼、執迷過什麼,已經完全不記得了。那時或許還可以說活得很滋潤,但也夠辛酸了。

人固然不能一世都當個做夢的孩子,但願能留住做夢的能力吧。

大家有印像的話,認該還記得西打剛好於一年前,便造訪過四季酒店大堂The Lounge的下午茶。還記得那天,跟台灣朋友說說笑,吃過甚麼,環境是那個模樣,腦海中的記憶如爛泥一樣,怎樣抓也抓不住。即使打開沒有記憶,只藏住照片的記憶咭,也只找到幾幀零碎的照片。

走馬看花的話,倒不如找個機會再造訪一次。

四季酒店的The Lounge下午茶時段,除了酒店客人之外,不設訂座。下午茶時段三點開始,建議大家可以兩點半到達The Lounge,如果當天人客不多,大多會先讓你進去坐好,慢慢研究餐牌,點好下午茶,按時間送上來‧非常體貼的服務,老實說,實在犯不著要在半島的大堂花上一兩個小時排隊。

給安排坐在靠窗的沙發座椅,想不到沒有訂座,也有如此享受。在四季酒店的大堂,雖不能居高臨下的欣賞維港景色,但摸著一點點海景邊皮,也是件賞心樂事。

點餐時還沒有下午茶時間,侍應主動交待下午茶上餐時間為三時之後,先把配餐的飲料送上來。是日點了薑味蜜桃茶,茶香清幽,果香不造作,滲出一點點薑的刺激味道,特別宜人。

不消片刻,三層架便送到跟前。第一感覺很不錯,起碼不像半島酒店連三層架都有點破爛的感覺,也不會架子都給壓歪,感覺茶點不算多,有時候scone不算在三層之內,但經驗記得,等一下還會有更多甜點附送。

先吃Scone吧!熱乎乎的拿在手中,單是溫度已經值回票價。最怕就是吃到那種送上來已冷掉一半的scone,再放個幾分鐘,質感都變硬,一點生命力都沒有。

是日的scone鬆軟好吃,硬度適中,不至於乾巴巴,也不會濕濡得糊口。掭一抹clotted cream,豐盈了味道,也讓質感更幼滑細緻。吃著時,忽發奇想,怎麼好像每家酒店的scone出品也不相上下,難道不是自家酒店烤製.....難道是來自同一工場....

事實是怎樣還有待考證....

再來是三明治和鹹點,切成丁方的鹹點,雖然跟傳統finger sandwich的形狀相去甚遠,但還是保持其神髓,一口一塊,讓女仕保持最優雅的姿態。

翻查資料才發現,原來小黃瓜 / 青瓜三明治是Afternoon Tea Set的必需配備的一道。遠古時,青瓜絕不是像尋常之物,在Tea Set中加入青瓜三明治,是個身份和權貴的象徵。想不到,從前的昂貴之味,成為盤子中感覺最平凡的一道。

蛋沙拉麵包

蛋沙拉置於像漢堡的麵包上,再鋪上魚籽作點綴,蛋沙拉質感濃稱,在口中慢慢流瀉開,香氣長久悠長,魚籽的鹹鮮也平白多添一分色彩。

上方的卷狀三明治,中間藏住巴馬火腿,完全是意料之外的美味。火腿不過鹹,剛好起著提味的作用,立時把普通的三明治變得不平凡。

中間的小酥皮撻,細碎蕃茄清爽鮮甜,配上酥香無比的脆撻,整體平衡非常出色。

單是看就覺得心曠神怡的甜點層

小小的macaron,水準也絕不馬虎!外皮酥脆,拿在手上,用力一點也捏碎。咬下去,中間的餡料保持應有的濕濡,跟舌頭糾結在一起,味道清新帶濃郁果香,配上一小片草莓,其中的酸香,跟甜膩的感覺配合得恰到好處。

總計:HK$380 + 10%

提筆至此,好像還未能為現今的高級下午茶的價值下個駐腳。不過,如果套用比較實際的角度,現在喝一頓下午的成本先不算餐點費用,單是在工作天休假的機會成本,己所費不菲,換來靜靜喝口茶,吃塊點心的悠閒時光。

相信,今時今日,三層架上不會只為飽肚而設, 也不會再有流言蜚語在頂層上飄過。有時候想,如果世界也如此進步,紛紛擾擾都按進化論一樣,通通給淘汰,剩下的,就只有在萬里無雲的晴空下,喝口茶。
