印度咖喱烤雞,雞肉幾嫩滑,唔算好辣,亦都比我想像中味道冇咁濃。不過配埋烤餅一齊食就真係絕配!

This is my second time visiting this restaurant. Black sheep restaurant is always good at creating the speakeasy ambience. The milk bun is soooooo good. I ordered more coz I just can’t stop munching. It goes very well with the meat. The fish is nicely grilled. No wonder it is so famous for it. It has the scent of charcoal and smoky on its surface but very juicy in the inside. I would try it’s lamb next time. Unfortunately it is too big portion for the two of us.

The fish is nicely grilled. No wonder it is so famous for it. It has the scent of charcoal and smoky on its surface but very juicy in the inside. I would try it’s lamb next time. Unfortunately it is too big portion for the two of us.

The service was good - our server, Nick, was friendly, charismatic, knowledgeable and aware. The kind of service one wished were more widely available in a city replete with mediocre to awful service. It was a good experience and I would go back if it weren't so expensive. Unreasonably so in my humble opinion. I was very surprised when I received the bill. Black Sheep Group restaurants are known for being fairly good with quite reasonable prices. However, this was no bargain and not reasonable. Beer, half pints, of fair Indian IPA are HK$98! The meal as described above came to a total of HK$1770.20!!! For weekday lunch for 2?? That number included a service charge of HK$160.20. Fine, Nick was a good server and offered a level of service in HK that is not particularly common. I also noticed an entry on the receipt (after the fact) for a "donation" in the amount of HK$8.00. WTF? A donation for what???? Donations are meant to be voluntary, right? What is this donation for bloody sake??? So no, I don't think I will be going back even though the food was good and the service was good. An ordinary weekday lunch for decent Indian/Punjabi food is just not worth US$230. Sorry! In fact, after this I just might not go back to any Black Sheep restaurant because I feel kind of offended. In fact, I might start sharing this story as widely as possible to see if other people share my indignation. There are plenty of other restaurants in HK, and while they might not have a Nick, I'm sure I'll survive. I may complain that the service isn't quite as it should be but I will certainly feel less violated.

The curry wasn’t as spicy as I thought
but it was quite delicious. The chicken were very tender and I enjoyed them more than the peas (partly cuz I’m a carnivore LOL)

Chai tea (10/5) IT’S SO GOOD!!!
Could almost smell the fragrance of the chai tea BEFORE they were even served. Could ‘t stop having the amazing tea!!! In fact the chai tea alone could already lure me back for a second time🤤

I am not a big fan of Indian food and the recent experience in New Punjab Club completely changed my mind! We were greeted by a young gentleman, who introduced us to the menu (I am terribly sorry that I didn’t take his name). I really wish to give him a round of applause and thank you for the attentive services which make the lunch exceptional! I seldom comment on the decorations of a restaurant, this restaurant has a few amazing contemporary art pieces which are spectacular and worth mentioning! All the dishes were amazing and memorable, the Tandoori Lamb, in particular, was certainly the best Lamb I have ever had! It was perfectly done, not over or undercooked, and the spice matched perfectly with the taste of the lamb. Another must order was the Gin and Tonic which goes perfectly with the Tandoori dishes. I will post a few more photos of the food (apologise again as I didn’t take a picture of the menu so I can’t recall the exact name of the dishes), as you can see, the dishes were so good and perfectly done, one must come here to try them in person!
I appreciate all the recommendations and the wonderful services of this restaurant, all the staff were friendly and attentive and happy to answer all your questions on Indian food and traditions, so don’t be shy to ask for recommendations from them! Highly recommended this restaurant to anyone, no matter whether you like Indian food or not, I am sure you will enjoy your meal here! A truly enjoyable experience! And a big thank you from me for the great food and services and everything!

Cobia係海鱺科魚,同曹魚係朋友,
所以肉質屬於比較柔嫩嘅種類。
魚皮烤到卜卜脆,食嘅時候都係一樣要唧青檸汁上去啊!
隔離嘅蕃茄酸辣醬汁係偏酸甜,唔算有辣味,
建議大家可以一塊魚齋唧青檸汁食,
另一塊點蕃茄汁食😉
但坦白講依個菜式未去到值呢個價錢,整體感覺係一碟above average少少嘅烤魚啊😳

因為mutton同埋番茄醬到最後都仲有淨,所以我叫咗Butter Naan去一齊食埋佢~
鍾意脆香口味多啲嘅朋友可以叫Roti(煎餅)!

最後亦order咗一個是日甜品,大概就係焦糖醬+雲呢拿雪糕+朱古力布甸蛋糕,
價錢忘記了,但味道偏甜,
建議可以兩個人一齊share~

整體來講我會依間係一間好食嘅餐廳,
裏面員工嘅服務態度、餐廳裝潢、環境衛生都值得比高分,
價錢的確係偏貴,不過某程度上都呼應咗佢米芝蓮一星嘅level🌟
喜歡探索exotic food嘅朋友可以一試呢!

剛到步已經聞到好香嘅印度香料味籠罩着整間餐廳。

如果要吃印度菜入門班應該要先去哪一家呢?

再來New Punjab Club, 最吸引的依然是其Tandoor烤串的菜式, 像是烤雞和原塊芝士, 醬料的運用像是雞肝醬, 薄荷醬以及乳酪都是恰到好處, 味道層次多元化. 原塊芝士依然是鹹香非常, 口感實在, 只是自己年紀開始大, 要消化如此多的乳製品, 真的有點吃力, 還是讓年輕的來. 雞肉醃得很香夠甜, 比起上一次吃烤得更焦香, 看看自己的接受程度就是.頭盤的牛奶飽對我來説依然是如此美味, 外脆內軟酥香非常, 羊肉的香辣與羶香與牛奶飽依然十分配搭, 比起Tandoor系列更吸引. 咖喱角色彩依然繽紛, 酸酸甜甜, 外面口感酥脆而內裡的是蔬菜蓉, 沒有肉類的它, 應該是整餐最健康的. 呢度啲嘢食望落細細碟,仲覺得會唔夠,點知食到一半左右,已經覺得好飽,真係眼闊肚窄🙈,儘管如此,我哋都係叫咗個甜品,叫左English style嘅banana toffee pudding🍮,pudding係好似香蕉🍌蛋糕咁樣,上面就有一球爆谷🍿味嘅雪糕🍦,鹹鹹地,好好食,再加上toffee味嘅sauce🤤,呢個甜品冇得輸,一定要叫👍🏻

另外不得不提嘅係佢哋嘅廁所🚾,一入去見到暗暗嘅燈光,門口點住支蠟燭🕯️,全個都係金色嘅廁所,加上頭頂有個喇叭📣好大聲咁播住啲印度嘅經文,成件事好spiritual🧘‍♀️,彷彿去咗第二個結界一樣

Hot meet cold, that’s an incredible experience for your palette. The pudding is not too sweet as the toffee sauce. But it’s not a wow dessert for me, as the flavour of every element does not have much character and speak themselves (or they are just being too humble haha!)

Overall, it’s an undeniable satisfying dining experience and didn’t disappointing as a Michelin star restaurant. The servers are friendly and funny as well, they interact with customers at the right time (not overwhelming) with great energy and courtesy. Re-visit is a yes for me!

今日4週年男朋友仔安排左一個餐廳,試咗中環一間出名嘅米芝連1⭐️嘅印度餐廳,咖哩角超級好味,真係超級印度風味,薯仔都係最愛🤤仲有咖哩雞,開始食好嘢味,但食食下就有少小咸,至於羊方面,我唔食羊的,但我有用麵包點佢個醬,男朋友覺得唔太騷,整體都好好,全部都好特別,仲要飲咗最愛嘅Pinot noir🍷最後侍應非常貼心幫我地影相同送左張咭俾我地,同埋佢地酒嘅種類都好多,餐前小吃看似好普通,但都係有醃製過,成餐飯都好開心同滿足
