This has been the MOST TERRIBLE experience I have ever had at a restaurant in Hong Kong. I was eating there alone and ordered a bowl of ramen. This has been the MOST TERRIBLE experience I have ever had at a restaurant in Hong Kong. I was eating there alone and ordered a bowl of ramen. The portion was a bit too much so I decided to have my leftover as take-out. Before I got the check I asked the staff for a takeout box and was told that I need to pay 1 dollar for the box, which I was okay with. The next second a male manager named Cyrik came over and told me that even though they had takeout boxes available, they would not sell me one and that I wasn't allowed to take the leftover ramen with me for “quality” reasons. I was so thrown off by his rude manners and when I asked for explanations, and he kept saying that no customer can take their leftovers of ramen if they choose to dine in for the "quality" of the food. I was forced to pay for the food and left half of my Ramen uneaten, which they threw away immediately - when i asked him why he was forcing me to waste food, he literally said that's not his problem… I was also NOT informed before I sat down at the restaurant that I couldn't take my leftover Ramen with me.
I have contacted their management team and asked for a refund for the meal, which they have yet to reply. I don't know if this particular manager has a bias against people who can't speak Cantonese or if he was just having a bad day. But the attitude was quite unnecessary and I would never go back again
