Boyfriend and I were here trying to find an Indonesian restaurant listed on Openrice but apparently, it had closed down. Thinking of a back up lunch plan, we saw this place that had a take away counter that was selling various Indonesian snacks. Thinking of moving on, I noticed a staircase in the back and we walked downstairs. We sat down and looked at the menu. Menu was in Indonesian with a few items translated in Chinese. A waitress came over to help us as we looked bewildered. She spoke Chinese and patiently answered our questions about what was this and what was that. She recommended a few items for us and we gave this place a try.
Es Rambutan ($28). This was super sweet. It was like drinking liquid sugar. I didn't expect it to be this sweet so I didn't really like it.
