Authentic spicy food!

As the restaurant is not very large, we booked seats in advance. The interior is well decorated with red and black as the main colors, which match well with their spicy food. First we ordered shredded potatoes with minced meat, which was very appetising. The potatoes are very finely shredded, which may be a bit hard to take for people who are not good at using chopsticks. The shredded potatoes are a good mixture between crunchy and soft, which is a good contrast with the soft texture of the minced meat.

 Next, the clear noodles in chili sauce came. We did not get to choose the chili level, but the level was acceptable. The noodles are very chewy, flat, and wide. It absorbed the chili sauce well, which gave the noodles a lot of flavoring.

 The main course was poached sliced fish in hot chili sauce. We were very shocked when they put down the dish, as it was huge and we did not expect that. We were also very intimidated by the large amount of chili sprinkled on top of the dish. We chose very mild chili level, but to me, as a non spicy eating person, I still thought the chili level was quite challenging and very spicy. The poached slice fish were boneless, soft and very enjoyable. There were clear noodles inside as well, which were extremely spicy after absorbing the chili sauce.

 We ordered steamed buns, which were hot, very crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. It tasted amazing dipped in condensed milk, but the amount of condensed milk provided was not enough at all.
Osmanthus jelly

 To our surprise, each customer could have a complimentary osmanthus jelly. We did not know until we wanted to order dessert and the staff told us. The osmanthus jelly was very refreshing and quenched our thirst after eating so much spicy food.

 We also ordered sweet osmanthus soup rice dumpling. It was a bit disappointing, considering how good the other dishes were. We originally thought it was cold when we ordered it, but apparently it was hot. It would have tasted better cold, as the taste of wine is quite strong, and the rice dumplings were very chewy. One portion is big enough for two people to share.
