I’ve never really been a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine but I decided to try out the popular Bedu with an open mind and was pretty impressed by their food and laid back vibes! Pic 1️⃣: Honey Baked Feta with Black Pepper Infused Honey - $120 hkd 🧀 🍯— A very unique flavour combination that I’ve never tried but ended up really enjoying! The sweetness and slight pepperiness from the honey balances out the savouriness coming from the cheese. The dish is incredibly rich so it’s best to have it alongside

— A very unique flavour combination that I’ve never tried but ended up really enjoying! The sweetness and slight pepperiness from the honey balances out the savouriness coming from the cheese. The dish is incredibly rich so it’s best to have it alongside some flatbread to help with the heaviness. I really recommend this dish!
Pic 2️⃣: Harissa Glazed Chicken Skewers with Black Garlic Labneh and Dill - $140 hkd 🍗
— Pretty good chicken skewers! The chicken is nicely marinated making the meat very flavourful. The chicken meat itself was quite lean so it seemed a little dry when eaten without the labneh. The black garlic labneh was smooth and creamy, with a good level of acidity that worked well with the spice coming from the chicken. Overall a flavourful and aromatic dish.
Pic 3️⃣: Smoky Hummus ($60 hkd) & Homemade Flatbread ($55 hkd)
— Probably the highlight of the meal! Both the hummus and flatbread were absolutely delicious. The hummus was silky smooth and had a rich garlic and tahini taste to it, more on the savoury end which I enjoyed. The parsley and paprika topping added a nice kick and fragrance to it. The flatbread was sooo good! Served nice and hot to your table, these were super soft and went perfectly with the hummus.
Pic 4️⃣: Sweet Potato Falafel with Hummus, Pickles, Tahini - $95 hkd 🍠
— This was alright but personally not my favourite dish. The sweet potato taste is rich but the texture was a bit too grainy/gritty for me, this was also a lot softer than previous falafels I’ve had and didn’t really hold its shape very well. Pickled vegetables were interesting, as they’re not your usual crunchy pickled vegetables!
Definitely worth a try! Staff are so friendly and take their time to explain the menu to you!
