You'd think falling back into a hotel would be a reliable choice, especially since in the past this place has proven to put out some of the best tasting Chinese food in the city, but I am speechless.Yes, the environment and service makes for a great dining experience in that regard but it ends there. Yes, the environment and service makes for a great dining experience in that regard but it ends there.
I can understand some level of blown up prices for prestige image but what they charge for very regular dishes like poached vegetables is obscene. I half expected a soul touching experience once the soon-coming food entered my mouth and gigantuan portions after ordering my three dishes (compromised on price) while feeling my wallet stab me for betrayal.
Low and behold, everything was average. Everything was a regular sized portion, with the chicken being even less than such. The enormous streaming basket must have been for compensation. My vegetables tasted like nothing, and everything was drowned in oil. The exact opposite of what I expect from high class food.
I vow never to come here again.
