As my friend loves Indian cuisine a lot, he found a beautiful Indian restaurant in Openrice. We decided to visit together this weekend.The restaurant is located on Wyndham Street, Central. As my friend has been working on Central for years, this place is familiar to him. We have no hard time finding the restaurant. The entrance is mystery and nobility. We had a warm welcome from the staff. Once we had been seated, the staff explained the lunch menu patiently. ⭐Snack – Mint & Pepper sauce, Pineap

⭐Snack – Mint & Pepper sauce, Pineapple sauce & Beetroot sauce
There was welcome snack Lijjat papad with Chutney signature sauces, which was colorful. My friend said the sauces were like traffic lights which were in red, yellow, and green. Haha. I loved the pineapple sauce which was sweet and smelled fruity. My friend liked mint sauce which was spicy.
⭐Apple Freshener & Salted Lassi
We ordered drinks. Apple Freshener was the same as its name, which made you feel fresh. I liked my Lassi, which tasted sour and salty at the same time. Also, it had a strong taste of milk.
⭐Aloo Tikki Chaat
I chose a vegetarian dish as starter. The fried potato patties with a mixture of different dressings tasted good.
⭐Tandoor Octopus
My friend chose octopus. The octopus’ leg was grilled and smelled good. It was chewy and had an after taste of sea water. We loved it a lot.
⭐Lahori Chana Masala
For the main dish, I chose a vegetarian dish again. It was curry with chickpea, lots of spices, onion, garlic, etc. It tasted great with different flavors.
⭐Achari Beef Short Rib
My friend chose beef as his main dish. The beef rib was tender and juicy. The masala sauce was onion and tomato, which was a little bit hot, sweet, and sour at the same time.
⭐Butter Naan & Garlic Naan
The naans were freshly baked. They had crispy parts on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside. The texture was soft, but also chewy. Both butter tastes and garlic tastes were great.
⭐Desserts – Sweet of the day
The dessert of today was pandan cake. It was moist, and sweety. Love it.
We enjoyed our time in Chutney. This is a place serving good food, warm service, great environment.
