There are over hundred of eateries in San Po Kong, including numerous Japanese restaurant. And this one うにくん is one of the kind. U may not feel it is a restaurant once you step into the shop as they have spared an area for takeaway ordering and waiting corner. There are quite some decorative items to make u feel like in an authentic Japanese restaurant. Then u walk through the sashimi corner and cashier to get into the dining area. I tried this peach cider. It’s very peachy and fizzling. I order

I ordered my favourite minced toro rice bowl with roes and sea urchin this time.
Usually pickled radish would be added to the minced toro rice bowl to enhance the flavour but this shop doesn’t! You can see how confident they are with the quality of their ingredients! And it did taste good even without the pickles! 😋

I was surprised by the huge carpel of sea urchin! There was a slight hint of sea water flavour~

And this scallop and sea urchin sandwich is soooo huge! Very ‘igable’ 🤣

The soup is not the typical miso soup but あさり汁(clam soup)

This meal is very good for value and tue staff were very polite~ will try their other dishes next time!
