Wandering around Kennedy Town, I came across a bakery that was crowded with people. It was chic in design and apparently sold Western baked goods as opposed to the many local Hong Kong style bakeries surrounding it.Items were displayed at the window and were labelled in English and Chinese. I decided to give them a try and buy three items. The egg tart ($13). We ordered a classic and a mocha custard one but they messed up and gave us 2 of the regular egg tarts. But we had left for quite a time

The egg tart ($13). We ordered a classic and a mocha custard one but they messed up and gave us 2 of the regular egg tarts. But we had left for quite a time and it was too late to ask them for the correction. The egg tart was ok though the pastry was a bit too oily. The custard was sweet and creamy. An ok egg tart. Doubt I'd order this again.
This is the cinnamon roll ($24). I love cinnamon rolls so I was hoping I'd find the American style ones I love. Alas, this is not one of them. It was actually a Danish pastry rolled with cinnamon and into a circle. It tasted fine but I wanted more cinnamon. There just wasn't enough of it.
And lastly the Orange Chocolate Mini Cube ($25). A cute little cube of bread. It was a bit on the dry side with a slight chocolate orange taste. It had chocolate bits and dried orange in the middle.
The bread was nice looking and it tasted ok. Not great but it was fine. Price is not unreasonable. Would probably try something else lke the cream cones that many others were purchasing.
