This was my second time visiting J.S. FOODIES. One of the main reasons is because I really really miss the Pasta here! I always travel to Italy for work trip on a regular basis and after trying the authentic Italian pasta, I found it quite difficult to find legit Pasta in HK. Even in expensive Italian restaurants, the texture of the pasta is always overcooked, and the sauce doesn’t taste as good. Actually, not only the Pasta but everything here in J.S. Signature Salad with Grapefruit sauceVery refreshing Salad with vinegar. They also served the grapefruit sauce (but I prefer without the sauce because the vinegar itself taste very good). I also like that they put the real grapefruit meat together with the peppers.
Truffle fries with sour creamThis is something you MUST order. The truffle smells so good! And the fries were so crispy! We “encore” another one after finishing the first plate.
Uni Salmon Role Pasta in Mentaiko SauceDELICIOUS!!!! This is the PINK PASTA that I have been craving for! After tasting it few months ago, I still could not forget how tasty this dish was! The whole dish was in PINK after mixing the Mentaiko sauce with the salmon roe. I suggest not mixing the Uni together because the cream sauce may cover the taste of Uni. Better to have the Uni by side.
Crab Meat pasta in cream sauceThe restaurant offers different type of Pasta in some limited period. This time it was Crab Meat Pasta. It’s as YUMMY as the pink pasta! There’s a lot of crab meat, and the taste of the carb is very strong! The texture of the pasta become very “joyful” after mixing the crab roe with the sauce because you can feel the popping effect while chewing the crab roe. I hope this dish will be still available when I come again next time.
Souffle Pancake in original flavorI think it was the 4th time for me to try the Souflle Pancake (2 times in Hysan Flippers and 2 times in J.S. Foodie). Never disappointing. I tried not to finish it but I couldn’t help! Looking forward to try HAPPY PANCAKE so I can compare these two restaurants.
題外話/補充資料：
Waited 60mins for this meal because we need a table for 6. They only have 2 "large" table and wasn't willing to combine 2-3 small tables for us. I wouldn't wait for so long if only come for the pancake.
