Today is a rainy day and we are looking for somewhere cosy for lunch in Central. Espuma is well known for their delicious dessert which I never came to try before. Situated at the heart of LKF, location is easy to find and stepping into the restaurant, it gave us a cozy feeling for the rainy day. The menu design gave us a summer feeling and the food pictures all looks so delicious! It offers variety of selections from tapas to salads to pasta to desserts. It took us 20mins before we can place our order. Yes, we are so greedy and want to order everything on the menu .Crab Dou $138
The crab shell was fully stuffed with crab meat, mushrooms and salad sauce...and 4 pieces of toast was served for this. Portion was generous and we completely filled our toasts with crab meat. There's also an avocado crab meat salad on the side. This dish is nice but for me as a non-salad sauce fan, it's too much salad sauce for me.
Bacalhau Croquettes $108
The outer was deeply fried but did not leave our lips greasy. Filled with mashed potatoes, minced parma ham, anchovy minced pork and cheddar cheese. Some restaurants will add spices to the potatoes but in here, they use parma ham, minced pork and cheddar cheese to add flavor to the potatoes...to me, the taste was just right .
Slow-cooked Octopus Salad $128
The octopus was huge and placed in the middle of the salad. There's 2 big pieces of fried octopus and many small non-fried octopus. The octopus was chewy and soft. Balsamic vinaigrette is the sauce and we loved it! The taste was refreshing with octopus and we finished the salad in no time.

How can we leave here without trying their famous dessert! They replace the traditional waffle to mochi. 4 small pieces of matcha mochi with matcha and red bean paste. The outer is crispy and the inner is chewy/soft. I love the ice-cream as I can see the vanilla beans on it. I'm picky when it comes to vanilla ice-cream, I prefer using vanilla beans rather than vanilla oil.
To wrap up our lunch, we order 1 hot American ($30).
