I'm so disappointed with the restaurant, I booked the restaurant around half month ago for my boyfriend's birthday dinner on 31 July, and I just wanna double confirm with the restaurant today to see if everything will be okay, and the waitress picked my phone and confirmed with my reservation, then she suddenly asked me to wait for a second and told me maybe they will NOT OPEN tmr!!!! And said they gonna call me earlier tmr to explain!!!!!!It does not make sense at all!!!They should call the gue

They should call the guests who have booked in advance. I can't imagine if I did not make this call today, choose randomly restaurant in LKF to celebrate the birthday tmr????

Martini 調得好好(not the best in town but better than a lot of high end bars) 每一道菜都有水準同好大碟,3個人黎,每人一個appetiser,叫兩個main share就夠。個bar同裝修好似70年袋既美式high end bar格調,有d The Great Gatsby feel(微型版,因為我地係香港),因為甘有格調,酒又調得好又係LKF,星期五未夠9pm成間餐廳已經質滿人。我地食甜品時已經嘈到頭痛(年紀大,無蒲好耐)吾怪得個dining time restricts to 2 hrs,因為9點已經甘嘈,根本吾係fine dining (但係收fine dining 價)當間樓底甘矮既餐廳「質」滿出黎蒲既人時已經係走既時間。地方細,個bar佔左1/3間餐廳,食客既枱圍邊,餐廳中間仲要有一個area放芝士同甜品車,成個setting 真係好有壓迫感。可以一大班人黎試一次(一大班人做咩吾去Dan Ryan? 個地方仲無甘迫,只係吾好食,一大班人嘈係為氣氛不是為野食吧?)對我就一次已經夠。

個環境好靚,燈光較暗。背景紅色布,好classy.食物不過不失。傳統italian cuisine, 食左beef tartare, pasta 同t-bone. 價錢算高價,但cheese, parma ham 同麵包任食,保證食到飽。個人覺得幾岩朋友做生日。

My friend chose this restaurant which is very cliche Italian in decor. Waiter dressed very elegant. Environment quite special. First we had lobster ravioli and I forgot to take a pic but it was good but the portion was too small. Then we had a steak which was good. But of course thicker cut would be good. But in general sauce was good and went well with the beef.Dessert we ordered carrot cake. As recommended by the waiter it really suffices for 2. For my taste too moist.

When people ask me what my favorite italian restaurant is, my answer is always Carbone. Yes, carbone is New York Italian but still it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in town. I know there are quite a lot other places serving good italian food out there, but Carbone is the only place that combines good quality of food, fantastic atmosphere, and great service. My favorite cheese and salami, sometimes it comes with olives.

For starter, I love beef carpaccio, tuna crudo, and Caprese. For people who don’t eat raw beef or burrata, I always choose Tuna Crudo. But for people who love burrata, I highly recommend Caprese. (Below is a picture of tuna crudo)

For pasta, yes you just have to order this amazing spicy Rigatoni Vodka! This is my all time favorite dish in Carbone. In addition I also love Granchio & Pepe.

For main dish, I love whole Branzino, scallop, and king prawn scampi. If I have to recommend one, then please order whole branzino, which is a grill whole sea bass. It comes with three different kinds of sauces, but trust me, it is too delicious already, so you don’t need additional sauce. Just some lemon drop, it tastes perfect.

Overall, I just love the vibe here. Sometime I already have my dinner, so I just stop by and have a glass of drink and a piece of tiramisu and feel so satisfied.

Spicy rigatoni. That is all you need to know about Carbone! Everything is pretty gimmicky but this pasta is no joke and it's worth the trip up to the 9th floor and the price tag. The dessert cart is always fun. Love this place for date night especially when your date is paying!

With the decoration being one of New York brassiere of the mid-20th century, there is a bar where one can enjoy a nice drink before the meal. On the night the restaurant was pretty busy. This Italian restaurant is located in LKF, inside the LKF Tower. With the decoration being one of New York brassiere of the mid-20th century, there is a bar where one can enjoy a nice drink before the meal. On the night the restaurant was pretty busy. Ordering a bottle of still water, the staff told us that the water was charged per person but would be refilled which was a good arrangement.

For appetizers we ordered a Octopus Pizzaiolo, which got large three pieces of octopus, cooked perfectly that retained the bite but not overly rubbery. There were also plenty of roasted bell pepper which was sweet and tasty, with some fingerling potato as well. A nice start for the meal indeed.

The other appetizer we ordered was Baked Clams, comprising of three types of baked clams, one stuffed with oreganata, one with uni and pesto sauce, and the last one with chili and cheese. The portion was generous with 12 clams in total. For me I like the chili and cheese one the most, as they got a kick on the taste to highlight also the freshness and brine notes of the clams. Overall another nice dish too.

Then we had the Lobster Ravioli, which was recommended by the staff. It certainly delivered my expectation being one of the signatures of the restaurant. The sauce was creamy with a nice acidity from the Vermouth, and the herbs also giving the color and fragrance to the sauce. The ravioli is homemade, with the right portion of fillings and the lobster was simply phenomenal. Full of flavors, got the perfect texture on the bite, this is my favorite on the night for sure.

For the main course we ordered Scallop Livornese, with five big pieces of scallop seared nicely, with the inside medium-cooked to give a beautiful texture. And the scallops were also fresh, good in quality, as evidenced by the great authentic taste. There were also tomato, olive and green onion accompanying to give also the color contrast and additional flavors.

The other main course we had was Double Lamb Chops. I had to admit I should look at the menu carefully next time because when it was served we were all amazed by the portion size. It was simply huge with four large pieces, and even dividing among us it was still too much. The Tasmanian lamb was soft and cooked to medium per request, paired well with a mint and olive oil sauce. My only critics was that the lamb was a bit too fatty so the layer of fat was quite difficult for the health-conscious public now to handle. It also got minimal seasoning so for some it might be a bit light on taste.

Wrapping up the dinner we also had a slice of Tiramisu. In fact by then I was so full that I couldn't eat much, but from the bite the cake was fairly good with a moist inside, different layers clearly visible and the cocoa coating of the right sweetness too.

Overall the service was good, with the staff all friendly and attentive. Having a Virgin Mojito as well, the total bill on the night was $2,290 which was a bit expensive. And the environment for many might also be called 'noisy'. But if you like the sort of environment and some good food, Carbone would still be a good choice for an Italian meal.

My overall rating was 68/100.

My friend recommended this place to me because of the food quality and that they dont know how long it will be there. The staff was very euthusiastic and the decor is old New York Italian. There were beautiful ceramic plates but most of them were cracked. I was told that the portion has gotten smaller but it was still large enough considering the price. Their set lunch at $388 per person + service charge is a little pricy compare to other restaurant in central. We ordered Caesar salad, rigatoni puttanesca, fusilli con salsicce, Ribeye Diana and lemon cheese cake. The puttanesca was a little to salty and salsicce was a bit too spicy! Ribeye was good, best part is the lemon cheese cake which was not very heavy! Overall it's a good quiet restaurant in central!

They've got the best version of vodka pasta in HK, and probably the prices to match. Dinner is a pricey affair, but if you're willing to pay up and want a nice dinner date place then Carbone is your place. While I love their spicy rigatoni vodka, I do know two other places where they do the dish almost as good but at much more affordable prices and am likely to hit these places up instead if its just to get my vodka pasta fix, and one of these places is supposedly owned by the same guys who run

Been a while since I've had an interesting "American Italian", quite generous portions here so we couldn't finish everything. Started with the carpaccio with black truffles. Very nice texture when almond bits were added to the dish. Delicious, probably one of the best carpaccios in Hong Kong. Then the spicy rigatoni vodka was absolutely delicius (a little too creamy though), the spice just elevated the dish to another level. The rest was great but I liked the appetizer and pasta the best.I order

I ordered a bottle of Heitz Vineyard Chardonnay 2014 but honestly it's too young so nothing much I can say about it.

Overall was a very pleasant experience. (88 pts).
