雖然我住南區,但我最喜歡還是香港的西區。自南區地鐵通車後,我到西區又多一個快捷的交通方法。位於香況大學站的 COBO House 和 Artisan Room 是出自同一位老闆 The Artisanal Movement 鄭志剛 先生的意念。兩者之共通之處是以藝術為本,每一件擺設也同樣講求完美。上年到坊過COBO House 品嚐過其甜品後, 不禁讚嘆其近乎完美的甜品。今次來到Artisan Room 轉一個較為輕鬆的環境。而Café 給我第一個印象是室內用上自然光令客人充滿偷快感覺、加上裝修簡潔,以白色為主道,最吸精的是一幅牆壁畫,是昔日石塘咀的春光加上香港獨有的電車,又是一大特色。客人先以自助形式購物,隨後會送食物、飲品到客人前。本來一心想坐外面呼吸一下新鮮空氣,只可惜當日風太大,只好返回室內坐。當日非假期關係,我可以獨佔店內的一張長枱。Mini Tarts (4 pcs) $58四款分別有檸檬、士多啤梨、抹茶、朱古力等。先由我淡味的檸檬撻開始,檸檬味道沒有人工化,香甜清新,酸甜度平均得宜,吉士醬又滑,加上檸檬絲令味道更富層次。本來對士多啤梨撻不存厚望,因為我不太喜歡吉士醬的口感

先由我淡味的檸檬撻開始,檸檬味道沒有人工化,香甜清新,酸甜度平均得宜,吉士醬又滑,加上檸檬絲令味道更富層次。

本來對士多啤梨撻不存厚望,因為我不太喜歡吉士醬的口感。所以挑了士多啤梨出來吃,舌頭上也難免沾上小許吉士醬,突然間我叮了一聲再吃一口,它的質感極為香滑、輕盈,同時散發出陣陣的云尼那籽香,令我刮目相看。

朱古力撻留到最後吃,朱古力濃度適中, 介乎牛奶朱古力和黑朱古力中間,香滑可口。

而因為份量剛剛好,所以不覺甜膩。

抹茶顏色清翠碧綠,還拉出美麗的心心。 一啖呷下熨口非常,味道抹甘香濃郁,也不失淡淡的回甘, 口感順滑,奶泡棉密,令人忍不住追喝下去。

This week is short, with Mon and Tue being holidays, there were only 3-day work forthe week. All the work come atonce, which made me so stressful. I went to the Wanchai branch ( just next to Tai Cheung egg tarts). It got two levels. I went up to the 2floor and it is more spacious than the lower deck.

I ordered a cup of flat white, it totally swept my tiredness away.  Two Ts- taste and texture.As to texture, the coffee-water ratio was just good, a concentrated cup with thick cream on top!For taste, it tasted sweet but it never covers the natural taste ofcoffee. I was fully recharged having a zip of coffee.

Only coffee is too dry? I also had avocadoon toast with poached egg.  The portionof avocado is more than I expected. I will call it avocado overload. Havinglemon squeezed on the avocado and dip with sour cream, that’s just toosatisfying. The poached egg is also just in time, not too old. The almond chipson toast also added value on the dish.

Price is reasonable. Will visit again.

Hoping to try their nitro coffee in summer!!

一直聽過artisan room,不過遲遲未有時間嚟。咁啱今日早咗放工,就嚟呢度飲咖啡。今次我飲Nitro coffee($65),即係將Nitrogen注入cold brew咖啡入面,令咖啡口感更加creamy順滑。其實都興佐一段時間,但我都係第一次飲!咖啡好易入口,口感好滑,咖啡味香濃,望住杯咖啡慢慢變色都幾得意,哈哈,時間越耐味道會越醇,所以越嚟越有味道。最正係有埋brownie配,特別開心!

Ever since the opening of the MTR in Shek Tong Tsui, the area has opened up a lot of chic little eateries. One such place is Artisan Room.Located quite close to the MTR exit. As it was my first time there, I decided to go with something classic. Salted caramel ($42). The choux was airy and light. It was topped with a caramel topping.

The inside was filled with salted caramel. I liked it a lot. It wasn't as salty as L'eclair de Genie (that one I think is a bit too salty). But it was salty enough to balance out the sweetness of the caramel.

I added a latte ($38). It was ok. Not very robust but it wasn't too milky. The pastries I would return for. The coffee ... I think I'll try a tea next time.

  既然與陳意齋合作,一提涼果,常見的少不了陳皮。Chenpi Spritz $68陳皮糖漿帶出陣陣淡緻陳皮香,不像平時吃到的濃味,正合我意。血橙果蓉的橙紅色,梳打青檸汁的半透明帶白色澤,製作出視覺上的漸層變化。酸味突出,清涼不過,微微氣泡感不會太乸口,倒是帶爽。

  Popcorn $48來貨為蘇格蘭Poporopo,我們選的是Chili, Lime and Caramel。只帶一絲辣味,還是焦糖的甜最突出,同時也嚐到少許青檸的清香。另外還有四款口味可選:Gin&Tonic,Caramel、海鹽焦糖、花生醬焦糖及薑餅焦糖。陳意齋小食則有芝麻餅、杏仁餅之類,但我們還是想吃闊別多時的齋燒鵝 $18。鹹中帶甜,香脆微黏又不油膩,適合送酒,但這次只有Mocktail,有點可惜。

  這兒竟有一年前在美食博覽嚐過的Sulguni芝士。Smoked and Non-smoked Cheese $58依然是可以像魷魚絲一般著吃的芝士小食。份量其實足夠伴著飲品同食,因為無論是煙燻還是普通版本,芝士香味都是偏濃偏鹹。煙燻的當然多了一份煙燻香氣,同時紥實乾爽一點,絲絲相扣的效果更明顯。普通版的濕潤幾分,鹹度亦較高,味濃一點下酒一點。

  沒有先吃過飽飯來打打底,多吃一點也不怕太飽。記得以前看過店家Eclair出品的照片,雖然Eclair到底還是Eclair,但口味卻見特色。既然山長水遠一場到來,擇日不如撞日,也一併嚐嚐。

  先來鹹味的Garlic Basil $42,讓我想起隔壁Dessert Bar也常有這類鹹鹹甜甜的配搭。賣相有種田園清新的感覺,就像草地上有幾顆小蘑菇的場景。味及羅勒香不會太搶太嗆,鹹味亦只是輕描淡寫的。除了餡料帶甜,表面的蘑菇實為蛋白餅,再添幾分甜意。總括而言,還是甜作主導,吃起來其實不會突兀。

  儘管是大路的甜味Eclair,Banoffee $42卻也非常見款式。香蕉甜香自然,不會過份人工藥水味,加上拖肥的焦甜及少許果仁脆碎,稍帶層次。餡料及裝飾點綴均頗濕綿水分重,泡芵又未至淋爛。就只是潤口的程度,當中的氣泡感還是存在的,若說要求脆口就有幾分難度。
  臨走時再看看店內有什麼新奇之物,友人指一指大件的鹹點夾包。我心想那不就只是三文治潛艇堡什麼的嘛,有何特別?近看之下,不是吧?竟然是大件到似潛艇堡的Eclair,夾餡更是火腿等鹹味食材。可惜這次無緣一嚐,吹水留待到十點關門才發現此等有趣食物。也許還得待下回有機會來到至會一試,畢竟石塘咀離我家可有一小時車程啊……

The details at Artisan Room are just crazy! Everything was like an eye opener. This gigantic chamber is called Gothicim, the goth steampunk Dutch Korean cold brewer. As a cold brew lover, my basic simple soaking method is just incomparable to their amazingly aromatic coffee!

I also really liked their heatproof coffee cups in nice colour specially sourced from Korea!

A few new drinks are launched to celebrate the summer and I cannot wait to try them out!

Having had a few nitro coffee from different cafe, their nitro coffee completed blew my mind with its perfectly balanced citric and bittersweet taste, I was never a fan of Nitro Coffee because of my previous bad experience of really sour yet still fizzy iced coffee.

Using their organic LOV is beautiful tea leaves with pieces of Peach Resin at the bottom, and Peach Resin is a kind of 'ancient superfood' for the royals.

E'clairs - Garlic Basil $42 and Chilli Chocolate $42

Their pastries are from S'il vous plait by two French Le Cordon Bleu graduates. With high expectation, their e'clairs has a rather flaky casing and smooth creamy filling. This is my first time trying their e'clairs and this is also my first time ever trying a savoury e'clair. The garlic basil e'clairs has a pungent garlicky taste with a subtle hint of herby basil aftertaste. The chilli chooclate e'clairs offers a wow moment with its pretty spicy taste complimented interestingly with a bittersweet chocolate taste. Absolutely delightful!

Tomato Garden $55

The salad is served in a unique transparent sphere shaped container stuffed with home farm greens, fresh tomato jelly, and yellow, red, green cherry tomatoes, served with a tube of sealed balsamic tomato paste. It is amazing how a restaurant use their super fresh crispy home grown raw ingredients. This is a very light refreshing salad, a perfect dish to enjoy in summer!

The first thing you will notice inside the cafe is the massive Gothicism slow-drip cold brewer from South Korea's Dutch Lab which is literally a piece of art itself with its intricate and ornate designs. The cafe is also the only one in Hong Kong which uses coffee beans from Costadoro - an Italian brand founded in 1890 that is known for its slow-roasting of coffee beans at low temperatures and air-cooling the roasted beans to minimize the moisture.

I was recommended to try this Macchiato Latte ($40) with almond milk where the espresso and the milk was served separately on a customized copper plate. I took a sip of each before pouring the espresso into the almond milk which turned out to be a heavenly combination with its sweet and nutty flavors.

Besides coffee, the cafe has also partnered up with S'il Vous Plait to offer its sweet and savory eclairs which I had been dying to try! There were about 4-5 different sweet eclairs to choose from and I ended up trying the gorgeous purple colored Sweet Potato and exotic Chili Chocolate. The sweet potato was a bit mild in flavor while the chili chocolate was seriously spicy - I'd probably prefer the spiciness to be more toned down but I applaud its bold flavors. I really want to try the Banoffee flavor too which was sold out when I was here.

I love the environment at Artisan Room (especially the outdoor patio area) which offers an oasis from the hustle of the city with a diverse offering of coffee and non-coffee drinks such as tea, beer, Italian soda and juice. I'd have to come back again to try its cold brewed coffee and savory eclairs!

好治癒的地方。咖啡店藏身於這一片「樹林」後,黑白裝潢、落地玻璃、大理石high table,盡是滲透著濃濃的藝術氣息。 Artisan Room共兩層。上層置有不同藝術品,並有職員作講解。客人可在下層享用咖啡和甜點前,先到上層逛逛。很喜歡這紙杯🙌🏻格子位置如瓦通紙般凹凸不平,隔熱又美觀。杯蓋設圓孔膠塞及圓孔杯口,方便飲用、實用性高。(杯子也講太多了吧🙈)說回它的咖啡,我點的是cappacinno。奶泡可打得更細滑,但勝在咖啡甘香,與奶香配合得剛好。 另外也點了杯latte。然後來到重頭戲Éclair!(chili choco, salted caramel, sweet potato)五香辣椒巧克力、海鹽焦糖、紫薯 最喜歡chili chocolate éclair,香料與巧克力完美融合,甜中帶辣,帶來感官上的刺激。 Salted caramel éclair也很好吃,內裡的海鹽焦糖忌廉幼滑而厚身,甜鹹交雜,相當吸引!

自己不是藝術家,也不懂何為藝術。但今天在Artisan room 就感受到食物容和在藝術獨特之處。Ice Coffee 在香港並不是主流咖啡!但今天專程的來到朝聖一下由韓國工作室 DUTCH LAB限量生產的Gothicism冰滴咖啡機! 今日試了一杯Guatemala ice Dripping coffee。咖啡入口雖然味道比較溥及酸味比較重口、但總算有咖啡香味、飲後還有一種小小的回甘味在口腔內遊蕩,雖然不是我杯咖啡、但都好醒神。餐廳咖啡選擇都唔小,也非常特色,而且經常會更新咖啡豆。下次希望能夠試到一杯喜歡的咖啡。 法式甜點Dark Chocolate帶有淡淡的辣椒味配合不太濃味及過甜的朱古力、反而使朱古力味更突出、自己覺得是配冰咖啡的最佳選擇。 藝術x餐飲並非新鮮事,但在香港要真正容和食物與藝術就不容易。Artisan Room 應該是其中一間。
