Since visiting Korea I have been an enormous fan of Korean food, Kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage), fried chicken, Kimbap, Bibimbaps and not forgettin Korean BBQ. However since returning I have not been fully satisfied from the places I have visited in HK, there has been something missing....UNTIL LAST NIGHT.
Dalin Pocha is THE place to go. It is where searches must end for great Korean food. Do not look any further.
We decided to endulge ourselves in a variety of food. The Stir fried kimchi Kimbap, crispy fried chicken and chips and some Dak Galbi. The latter of which we had not tried before. So this is where I shall begin.
Dak Galbi
This was a bbqish dish. In the middle succulent chicken, cabbage, broccoli and topokki covered in spicy tomato mimchi sauce whoch clung to all the ingredients. The spice intensified as it cook which was great. You could also combine this with tomato, melted sticky, stringy cheese all folded in a crispy lettuce leaf. An added option (+$30) was some rice which you could mix in to the sauce once the majority of ingredients had been finished. H-E-A-V-E-N.
Crispy Fried Chicken
A deep tray, filled with crispy chicken and wedges. The skin is exactly what it says, crispy, crispy, crispy. Added with perfectly seasoned soft chicken, you cannot go wrong with this choice. A side dish of coleslaw creates the added component to compliment this dish.
Stirfried Kimchi Kimbap
This dish, o my! Our favourite of the night. 12 pieces of melt in the mouth kimbaps. Warm spicy (not too spicy, actually perfectly spicy) stirfried kimchi. I cant say much more. If you like Kimchi, this is a must. A MUST.
We will be back, 100%, best korean we have been too in HK. I definitely felt like I was in Seoul, in Hongdae endulging myself in (too much) korean food. But who am I kidding if I was to endulge in food, Korean is the one.
