Yesterday I dragged my girlfriend out to Yuet Mun Hin in Lai Chi Kok tonight for dinner 🍽️. The place has a pretty relaxed feel, kinda modern-ish but comfortable, Not too stuffy. Lighting was on the dimmer side, quite soft 💡, which was nice for just chatting and digging into some food. We weren't looking for anything too wild, just a good meal.First up, the reason I came:🔘 Seasonal Oysters - 8/10These arrived looking fresh! 🔘 Seasonal Oysters - 8/10
These arrived looking fresh! They had that nice, clean briny taste of the sea 🌊, not too overpowering but definitely there. They were plump and slid down easily. Maybe not the absolute best I've ever had, but they were genuinely good and totally hit the spot for my oyster craving. A solid start! 👍
🔘 Seafood Aglio Olio Orecchiette with White Wine - 7/10
This pasta dish was decent. The 'little ear' pasta 👂 was cooked nicely al dente, giving it a good chew. You could taste the garlic and there was a gentle kick from the chili 🌶️, plus that hint of white wine in the background. The seafood mixed in seemed fresh enough. It was a perfectly fine pasta, did the job. 🍝
🔘 US Prime Flat Iron Steak (12oz) - 9/10
This was pretty impressive! We got it medium-rare and it came out looking juicy with a nice sear. 🥩 It was really tender, easy to cut and chew, and packed a proper beefy flavour 😋. The 12oz portion felt generous and was definitely satisfying. A very tasty piece of meat, well executed. 👌
