Butlery has been on my list to try for a while now, and I finally go round to trying it out! — As soon as I saw “Uni” I knew I had to try this out 😂 You could definitely taste the uni in the cream sauce, but it was more on the sweet side and could’ve done with more of a umami profile. The crabmeat definitely helped add a slight savouriness to the dish. The scallops were fresh and really well seared, as they were very tender and buttery on the inside. Personally thought they took “al-dente” a bit too seriously though, as the linguine was slightly undercooked.

— This was soooo good! The milkshake was insanely creamy and rich, but not overly sweet. The caramel had a subtle burnt aroma which was delicious too. The honeycomb bits on top added a nice crunch to the drink and extra boost of flavour.

— Wasn’t expecting a high quality steak at a spot like this but this was pretty impressive! The portion size was also very decent and will definitely fill you up. The steak was grilled to a nice medium-rare, leaving the meat still juicy and tender. It was also well seasoned and didn’t require much sauce for flavour. The fries on the side were really crispy and well seasoned too. The roasted veggies were a great accompaniment.

— Honestly couldn’t decide which pancake to pick out from their menu but earl grey seemed like a more unique option. The soufflé pancake texture was extremely light and airy, with a strong eggy flavour to it too. The batter was perfectly sweetened too. The earl grey sauce could’ve been stronger in my opinion, but you can still taste the hint of tea in it. The white chocolate pearls and biscotti added a nice crunch.
