I had strong cravings for Eggslut when I first saw its pictures online. I was so hyped up when I knew that it opens in HK and immediately gathered my friends to check it out. We’re shocked to know that it’s closing down in 2025. We sampled almost all of their menus that time, Fairfax; bacon egg & cheese; the slut; as well as the truffle hash brown bites. We sampled almost all of their menus that time, Fairfax; bacon egg & cheese; the slut; as well as the truffle hash brown bites. It’s definitely making simple breakfast buns photogenic and appetising.
I had the bacon cheese & egg and the brioche buns tasted very good, fluffy, crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside. However, the egg wasn’t as slutty as I thought! We went in a group of 6 and only one of us got a really oozy egg from our buns.
The Slut was toasted baguette chips dipped in a jar of steamed egg and mashed potatoes, garnished with pinch of sea salts and chives. As I remember it tasted quite nice but the portion was small.
The hash brown bites had very tiny hint of truffle and was quite heavily seasoned with salt. I dipped them into the Slut egg to balance out the savouriness.
