My husband and I dined at Brasserie last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. We picked Brasserie simply because we went out choices and of the prior very positive comments. We have recently visited Gaddi's at Pennisula and Spoon at Intercontinental. When comparing to them, Brasserie is very good for value - $700 for 4 courses plus matching wine! We had foie gras, lobster bisque/ onion soup, sea bass/ spring chicken and soffule. They were all good. The foie gras was tender, the sea bass and chicken were fresh and juicy. Soffule is usually not on my list. My husband recommended it to me as it's supposedly a signature dish of the restaurant. I did not regret it.
It was a pleasant surprise that they got my husband a birthday tiramisu for free. I did ot request it when making the booking. If I knew, we would have gone for 3 courses instead of 4. The portion in general was big
The waiters were attentive. We ordered mint tea at the end of our dinner. As soon as we finished our tea, he offered to refill the tea pot.
We walked out with satisfaction and big smiles
