Enishiya created the first shrimp broth ramen with sweet shrimp head soup in Japan back in 1998. I didn't really like the shrimp broth taste I tried at other ramen places, but their shrimp broth definitely made me change my mind. We ordered a shrimp broth ramen and an original miso ramen for comparison. The shrimp soup base was much richer in flavor with a dash of spiciness, while the miso soup base had a strong soya sauce taste. We couldn’t decide which was better as they were both delicious. B

Both ramens had sweet baby corn 🌽(never had this in ramen before), half of a soft boiled egg 🥚 and one slice of BBQ pork.
(Tip: order the option with 4 extra BBQ pork slices instead of adding $28 for 3 slices)
One small flaw is that you can’t choose the mildness/richness of the soup base, and we found that the two soups were a little bit too salty for us (although we didn’t feel dehydrated afterwards).

The side dishes are only available here in HK, so we ordered the pan-fried dumplings.
We thought they were above average, but I would prefer the skin to be crispier 🧐
