Hot item is ordered from a menu (one choice per guest but portion is definitely big enough for one or even two people), which includes both chinese and western (mainly) items such as chicken porridge, eggs benedict, omelette, etc. Bagel with amazingly crunchy, in between the texture of a normal bagel and a focaccia, veggies were fresh and we added cold cuts ourselves to make it more meaty I had this for two mornings because it was so satisfying. Toast were warm underneath layer of egg but not so
I had porridge most of the mornings and it was fine too. It comes with a small bowl of skinny chow mein and some condiments, which were nice options to have.
While waiting for your hot item to arrive, you can browse the semi-buffet bar: pastry, cold cuts, cheese, salad, fruit and drinks. The selection is not so huge that you can eat here for a week in a row, but it is definitely a nice option once in a while.
Overall the breakfast itself it awesome. The only turn down would be the price (about 180HKD/person at the door and 120/person if you book with room reservation), but it is an hotel after all so the value expectation is already different. That being said, the area around the hotel has plenty of more reasonable options (i.e. Coral de Cafe right outside, Deli and Wine next to the ice rink, and all sorts of 茶餐厅 outside the mall are all great value options (<40HKD) for a simple and quick breakfast).
