Food (Taste 4/10 Plating 4/10 Ingredient 4/10)

This is impartial comment. See my comments in other Peninsula restaurant and Michelin restaurants. Cooking skills of the chef is fair. Ingredients are handy ones. Home cooking dishes. No Idea innovative idea from the chef. Probably it’s because the positioning of this restaurant is to enable diners who had been to Switzerland, to retrieve memories in Switzerland and for those who had not been to, to have a taste of the peace in Switzerland. The design, renovation, lightings and arrangement perfectly achieve this purpose. This is excellent. As a non-Michelin star restaurant, you can’t demand more.

Overall comments:
If you are a local HKer, need to choose a restaurant in a rush, do not have high
requirement of what you eat, just want to dine in a 5 star hotel, this could be
your choice. If you had been to, and love Switzerland, you will love this
restaurant. If you have neve been to Switzerland, you can have a brief taste of
the peacefulness and a moment of silence here in this restaurant.

If you are a tourist, see my comments above, it’s applicable.

If you had been to quite a few Michelin 3 stars restaurants in HK and around the world like me, this is not a place that you can expect to have fulfilling and surprising dining experience. I will visit this restaurant again because of the sentimental values I had in Switzerland.

Appetizer:
-“French/Swiss
luncheon meat” (Just a luncheon meat, nothing more to comment on, not a fan of
frozen meat jelly)

Main:
-Fried Salomon
with smashed potato and veggie. 

(Fish
nicely fried with juice preserved. The chef handled it quite well if it was just
a frozen fish)

- Beef Stewed. Beef nicely stewed, tendered. Well seasoned.

Desert: BESTdish of the meal
-Cheezecake with lemon sorbet. Nothing special
-Hazelnut lemon tart with lemon sorbet.
