Came here for lunch during the weekday for pan cakes, but eventually ordered from the lunch menu even though we originally came for the Earl Grey Pan Cakes. This was because the lunch menu looked like good value for money and we were impressed by the size of the burger the table next to us ordered.

Eventually we ordered the:

• Roast Spring Chicken Waffle - it was the first time we have had roast chicken with a waffle 🧇, usually it is deep fried chicken, but the chicken here was roasted to perfection as it was tender and juicy and went really well with the honey mustard dipping sauce. The waffle 🧇 was absolutely amazing as it was so crispy! The salad was fresh and had a vine of baby tomatoes 🍅 to elevate the dish.

• Spicy Sunshine Burger with Chips - the burger 🍔 was built perfectly and neatly, the Angus beef patty was nothing special itself, but together with the spicy 🌶️ homemade sauce, cheddar cheese, jalapeño and grilled pineapple it gave the burger a tropical taste sensation that was very different to the normal burgers I usually eat. The buns were soft and grilled with butter (I think). The French fries were well seasoned, crispy and hot, but I think having thick cut fries would be better as the burger was so exotic.

We chose the soup of the day for the starter which was borscht soup which was rich, sweet and hearty due to it having so many vegetables in it.

Included were cold drinks, which we ordered ice lemon tea and iced coffee.

In summary, no complaints, only that when we saw the pancakes the other tables had ordered we did regret we didn’t order them as well. That’s why we are coming back!
