For our mains, we had the Canadian Scallop Risotto With Korean Kimchi in Pomodoro Sauce. The Canadian Scallop was tender and succulent, and packed with nutrients, while the Risotto was creamy and toothsome. with a slight bite to the rice. The Korean Kimchi and Pomodoro Sauce added a nice sour tang, which was very appetizing.
We also had the Black Truffle Penne Carbonara, which had a strong truffle aroma. The texture was somewhat like soggy potato chips, and left a garlicky aftertaste in the mouth. The pancetta was salty and flavorful, with a good distribution of fat that made it moist but not greasy. The carbonara was very creamy and delicious.
For the side dish, we had the Gambas Al Ajillo(Spanish Garlic Shrimp) 10 Pc with Sliced Baguette. The Baguette had an initial flavor of wheat with a hint of saltiness, nuttiness, and caramel, followed by a sweetness that permeated the tongue and teeth. The shrimps were pink and succulent, and were soaked in a garlicky and olive oil-based sauce. The garlic flavor was strong, and the olive oil had a subtle fragrance, the dish paired very well with a glass of white wine.
