Omakase dinner with birthday oversights

I recently enjoyed an omakase dinner at this restaurant and had a largely positive experience. The food was delicious, with each dish showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. However, the sushi portions were on the smaller side. We dined on a weekday when the restaurant was only partially occupied, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The chef was interactive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere.

Unfortunately, there was a hiccup with our reservation: I had specifically requested a birthday message on the dessert for a friend's celebration, but this request was overlooked. The staff mentioned that there was a communication error. Despite this oversight, the night remained enjoyable, and the overall quality of the food and service made for a memorable experience.
