First time here and love it! They have great value lunch sets at $98, including antipasti, pasta, and coffee/tea. My friend and I ordered two sets to share. For the pasta you can pick any on the menu, and we chose Homemade Pappardelle Nose to Tail Bolognese and Homemade Fettuccine Funghi. For antipasti the choices were Caesar salad and daily antipasti, which was baked cauliflower with some sauce and pine nuts, and we had one of each. We waited quite some time for the food as the place was packed

The baked cauliflower was quite interesting and tasted pretty good! Not sure if it was baked or fried actually - there was a thin crispy layer on it which tasted a bit like potato chips except it wasn't. The cauliflower was sweet and juicy and firm but not undercooked, and the sauce and pine nuts added extra flavour and garnish. The Caesar was just standard but I liked the fact that the dressing and the cheese were just the right amount.

And now the pastas! Had been looking forward to the pappardelle bolognese because of its interesting name. It's called Nose to Tail because the meat ragu is made of pork cheek, veal loin, and ox tail. Well I couldn't really tell there were three kinds of meat and there wasn't a lot of meat in the sauce actually, but at least the idea was a nice one. The sauce had chunks of tomato in it and had just a hint of spicy, which I liked. I wouldn't exactly call the pasta al dente as I thought it was more doughy than firm, but not in an unpleasant way so that was not a problem for me - it really depends on what texture you prefer. Overall the dish tasted quite good, though I wish it were less oily.
The Fettuccine Funghi was alright. The description said it had black truffle and sure there were tiny flakes of it but the taste didn't really come out. The other mushrooms were not bad though. This one was lighter and not laden with cream so it made a good counterpart to the rather oily bolognese.
This place is rather noisy but has a good vibe and the food is decent at reasonable price. Will be back to try their other pastas and maybe pizzas.
