Trying out Yakitori Tsukada, a well-known yakitori restaurant all the way from Tokyo. This is their first ever overseas branch, and they’re conveniently located in the heart of TST. Pic 1️⃣: 免治雞肉 & 雞蔥串 / Tsukune served with egg yolk & Negima with Leek - $43, $38 hkd 🍳
— Two favourites of the night. Tsukune was well seasoned and had a good mix of textures. The negima was so flavourful and tender, and went perfectly with the leek.


Pic 2️⃣: 雞肝 & 雞柳 / Sunagimo & Sasami (Tenderloin) - $38 hkd each 🐔
— Unique pairing with wasabi to bring out the chicken flavours further. The liver was perfectly grilled.


Pic 3️⃣: 雞腿 & 雞肩 / Momo (Thigh) & Furisode (Shoulder Meat) - $43 hkd each 🍗
— Loved the okinawa lime that came with the shoulder meat for that extra aroma and flavour.


Pic 4️⃣: 雞腱 & 雞翼 / Sune (Shank) & Tebasaki (Wing) - $38 hkd each 🐓
— The wing really stood out for me, well seasoned and grilled to a super crispy finish. You could really taste the bincho-tan flavours here.


Pic 5️⃣: 秋葵 & 茄子 & 椎茸 / Okura, Eggplant & Shiitake Mushroom - $30 hkd each
— Decent vegetable dishes, the mushroom was super flavourful and held its moisture well.


Pic 6️⃣: 日式南蠻炸雞 & 半熟玉子薯仔沙律 / Japanese Chicken Nanban & Potato Salad with Soft Boiled Egg - $68 hkd each 🥗
— The fried chicken was slightly underwhelming as it was way too soggy and lacked seasoning. Wish the tartar sauce came on the side too. The potato salad was creamy and the bacon added a nice savoury element to it.


Pic 7️⃣: 雞白湯拉麵 & 自家製燒飯團 / Special Chicken Soup Ramen & Grilled Rice Ball - $68, $58 hkd 🍙🍜
— The chicken soup was really rich and hearty, noodles were well cooked too. I loved the miso glaze on the rice ball as well as the ikura to top it off.


Pic 8️⃣: 夾餡雪糕 & 自家製布甸 / Monaka Ice Cream & Homemade Pudding - $48 hkd each 🍨🍮
— Perfect way to end the meal. The monaka ice cream was light, and the sea salt ice cream was unique too as it went really well with the sweetness from the red beans. Homemade pudding was super smooth and creamy, and not overly sweet.
