Another of my to-go list
Have been waiting, dying to visit this place since its opening
Now that I have been here, I need to either move to Wan Chai or get delivery everyday
Why is everything so good here?!
Arrived before 9:30AM on a Wednesday and I need to admit I was surprised to see a queue
I mean, it's a weekday morning, surely most people have to work!?
They separate Dine-in and Take-out queue
And we had to wait for a bit longer than 15 minutes before being seated.
The dine-in area was somewhat small and the tall stool was not too convenient
But for the food's sake I will make do. Bakehouse serves a range of breakfast which looks very tempting
BUT! We came for the famous croissant so the breakfast can only wait
Just look at the amazing selections of baked goods they have
I want to order everything!

Some said their cookies are really good as well?
After some difficult thinking time, we decided to order a croissant, a sourdough egg tart and an almond danish to share
My friend also ordered a cappuccino The baked goods are served warm when you dine-in
Just look at this plate of heaven
How did we manage to not dive right in?! The cappuccino looks nice but my friend said it was not hot enough
They probably used cold milk straight from the fridge
It would be much better if the coffee was hotter And finally the main character of our breakfast!
The croissant was huge!
And smelled so nice
When you cut into it, it is crunch and airy

This croissant is flaky but not oily
Your fingers will not get all greasy after holding it like some croissants from other shops
I just had a croissant from Crostini the other day
And now I know why people say Bakehouse has the best croissant in town
You get the right amount of flavor and texture
Yet you don't get the grease
This really is amazing. End of story.

so this sourdough crust was made for me.
It has the texture of Portuguese egg tart, minus the grease
So clever of Chef Greg to come up with this idea

my friend wanted to try the almond danish
I am so thankful to her for placing this order as I would have missed this amazing danish if it's not for her
You get a crunch layer of almond slices on top of a lovely pastry
Inside, you get a thick layer of almond paste
This almond paste is the main main main focus here.
It is rich but not too sweet or artificial
Please someone tell me the secret to this danish
We enjoyed our breakfast here today.
All the food we tried was amazing
Though it is on the pricey side
Given the quality of the food,
I would say it's worth every penny and popularity
No wonder this place is still so popular
