To most people living in Kwun Tong, dinner choices usually were APM and malls around APM. Finally, we decided to coming out of this comfort zone and try something new! There were actually many industrial buildings with small less famous restaurants. They were indeed very good. The restaurant we did was not very closed to mtr - 10mins walk from mtr. The restaurant we did was not very closed to mtr - 10mins walk from mtr. But good that there was a clear instruction in the openrice page that we didnt get lost.
Unlike other restaurants, we booked a few days before and communicated to set our dinner menu. Based on our taste, they suggested us a dinner menu and the price per head. This could make sure all dishes suited our taste and they could prepare in advance before our arrival.
Below were our choices!
1) Mango salad with prawns 香芒沙律大蝦球 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): A good starter of the meal! Though it wasnt the best season to do mango, it was still very sweet and juicy. The other fruits were also fresh but not from cans. It was good that the chef didnt add much salad sauce to it, otherwise it would taste too sour. The prawns were deep fried but yet not too greasy - definitely because of the sour salad taste. It boosted our appetite!!

2) Steam crabs with egg white and wine 花雕雞油蛋白蒸肉蟹(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): There were quite some cooking methods to choose upon our order - deep fried with garlic, fried with pepper, etc. Finally we chose to steam with egg white and Chinese wine. The crab itself was big and fresh - It was meaty and firm. Besides, the portion was Chinese wine was well managed - not too much or little. Each part of it was with a light wine taste. First time to try but already loved it very much!

3) Fried garoupa生煎東星班(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Fish was always not my cup of tea... But, this dish did changed my mind! Compared to traditional steam method, the chef fried it. The skin was crispy and the meat was still juicy. Although it was not a wild fish, it taste was still very rich.

4) Abalone in white pepper sauce 白胡椒爆炒鮑魚(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Definitely the #1 dish of the dinner. First, the abalone itself was of high quality - its size was big and thick. It was chewy but yet not too over. The pepper sauce did a good companion role. It had a strong pepper taste but yet didnt cover the abalone freshness. Besides, it was rather thin that wouldnt stick to your mouth. Although it had a rich taste, we didnt feel thirsty afterwards.

5) Steamed razor clam with garlic 蒜蓉粉絲蒸蟶子王(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Each person got 1 and the size was really big. About the calm itself - it was fresh and chewy. Besides the chef washed it thoroughly that there were no sands inside, which was very common in other restaurants.
Although the toppings were simple, we did see the chefs detailed mind - there were both fresh and deep fried garlic. While deep fried one made the dish crispy, too much of it made the whole dish greasy. Therefore, the chef added some fresh garlic instead.

6) Chicken with minced prawns 江南百花雞(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Before this meal, we actually didnt know about this dish and did some researches - "廣州四大名菜之一文園「江南百花雞」,有雞之名,無雞之實,江南百花雞以蝦膠釀雞皮,配以白菊花上湯芡,原名江南白花雞。". "Boneless" was definitely the top selling point of this dish. It required a lot of effort in removing the bones and fill the minced prawns. To our surprise, these ingredients matched each very well and the sauce wasnt very thick that cover the taste. Seldom could we taste this on other restaurants!

7) Vegetables in soup上湯浸時菜(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): Finally did some vegetables in the end of a rich meal. The portion was big and it included quite some different types, mainly broccoli and mushroom. Cooking with soup made was a definite good choice - making it not greasy.

8) Fried rice 招牌御膳炒飯(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): Actually we all were quite full already, but yet we couldnt resist the high quality of the fried rice and finished all! The rice itself was rather dry that it didnt taste sticky. There were also quite some different toppings - minced beef, scallops, prawns, etc. Although it looked dark, the seasoning wasnt heavy. It only tasted slightly salty but had been sufficient given the rich toppings.

9) Dessert 甜品(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): A Chinese meal ended with a Western dessert. The milk pudding had a rich milk taste and it was very smooth. On top if it was a berry that tasted very sweet! Definitely marked the end of a fabulous meal!

All in all, this restaurant served high quality food. Each dish was special and couldnt be found easily in other restaurants, especially the chicken with minced prawns. Although it was slightly expensive, it was worthy!
