The last time I had Little Bao in Soho was back in uni, and fast forward to now, they finally made their way to the neighbourhood for my second visit. The last time I had Little Bao in Soho was back in uni, and fast forward to now, they finally made their way to the neighbourhood for my second visit. Check out the crazy visuals of this hairy crab fried chicken ($380)! Featuring their signature fried chicken with mala spice topped with scoops of a hairy crab sauce/mix, you got to get them dark meats for a juicy bite of chicken, specifically the chicken wing edge, DAMN that bite of crispy skin and fat was heavenly. Another limited special was the Cajun hairy crab cake ($380) topped with condensed crab roe. The sweet black vinegar reduction is the key player in this dish, don’t forget to eat the veg on the bottom that’s soaked with it!

The skirt steak beef tataki ($158) is also one of their new dishes, drizzled with shiitake soy vinaigrette. There’s also the mixed seafood ceviche ($168) served with blue tortilla chips which was pretty decent. We got a thing for scooping things on chips so we also tried the lamb tartare ($148) mixed with fermented bean curd mayo which you can scoop up with tofu chips on the side. For the baos, since I’m not crazy about carbs, we got the fish tempura bao ($88) and I liked the pickled salad sandwiched between.

Dessert baos are the best. My all-time favourite is the green tea ice-cream bao ($38) and this time we also tried the seasonal specials ($48): milo ice cream and salted ice cream with raspberry jam.
