We have never had such TERRIBLE dining experience in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!(Sorry that the comment is going to be very long. If you don’t have time to read, in short, my friend and I were commented by the OWNER of the restaurant that we ate too slow and therefore he TOOK AWAY OUR HOTPOT and food WITHOUT OUR CONSENT whilst we had paid for the food and that we still wanted the food!!!)We (2 gals) have ordered Tomato and Beef soup base and Beef, Scallop, Assorted Meatballs, Vegetables, Barbecue P

If you don’t have time to read, in short, my friend and I were commented by the OWNER of the restaurant that we ate too slow and therefore he TOOK AWAY OUR HOTPOT and food WITHOUT OUR CONSENT whilst we had paid for the food and that we still wanted the food!!!)

We (2 gals) have ordered Tomato and Beef soup base and Beef, Scallop, Assorted Meatballs, Vegetables, Barbecue Pork Dumplings and Custard Dumplings. We’ve no doubt that the quality of the food was fine.

HOWEVER, we experienced the “WORST of the WORST”service in town!!!!! We booked a table and sat down at 7:00pm on Friday nite. We’d never been told that we need to return the table by a certain time. At 8:30pm a waiter came to us and said they had 2 customers coming for the table at 9:00pm and asked if we could finish by then. At that time we still have almost 1/3 of our food not finished. We politely said we hadn’t finished but would try to finish asap to help them. Within the half an hour from 8:30 to 9:00pm, we were DISTURBED by the same waiter THOUSAND TIMES –we were asked if we still want the beef and other food (while obviously we were still picking up the food into the hotpot); we were being served the complimentary dessert while we were still eating the ‘main courses’; we were requested to pay the bill first…..etc. My friend and I have super high EQ and we agreed to pay the bill first but we did plan to finish the food despite the series of impolite disturbance.

At 9:00pm the waiter came and said their customers had been waiting for so long. I told him we had not yet finished and we had never been told that we need to return the table by 9:00pm before. That is not our problem and as soon as we finish we would leave. Then the BOSS of the restaurant came and forced us to give him a time that we would leave. We explained that it’s not reasonable for us to guarantee a time to leave and that he’s the boss he should manage his table arrangement by himself. Unbelievably, he shouted to us, “You two ordered 6 dishes in 2 hours. I’m not persuaded that you two are trying hard enough to help”. First of all, this is not ‘All-You-Can-Eat’buffet hotpot dinner that usually comes with a time limit. The fact that we MAY eat slower than usual people has nothing related to him. While we were still trying to discuss and seek for a reasonable result, this impolite BOSS totally refused to hear us and said “I don’t want to do your business. I will void the bill that you just paid and you two please go!!”and in the same second, he just TOOK AWAY our HOTPOT without our consent!!! WE WERE TOTALLY MAD. We complained that they can’t just take away our food and that we didn’t need to have our bill void!! The BOSS just ignored us and ran away. When he came back he had the void bill on the table. The waiter immediately came and cleared the rest of the table. We WERE 1000000% PISSED OFF and could not believe that the BOSS of a restaurant could do such thing!!

As we are EDUCATED people and not the type of person to shout or scream in public, so we decided to go and we would make complaints to official authorities. When we left we went in front of the BOSS and said to take away the customers’food is totally unacceptable & non-sense. He said, “I already expect you two would not come back again. Feel free to write comments on internet. You two are no longer our customers and we will never serve you again!!!”

Until now, we still can’t believe he is the BOSS of the restaurant (but we found that to be true at the end). It’s obvious that we have nobody else to complain and that the OWNER of the restaurant is not worry at all that this incident will affect his business. Therefore we would tell all our friends, write on internet, to newspapers and magazines!!!!

All our friends who have heard this story in the last few days have already agreed NOT to try / go to that restaurant again!!!!!!!!
