First thing first, the scone. Basically, scone weights more than 50% to me for an afternoon tea. So if it fails, I will probably never get this again🤫I love the scone here with fluffy and moist texture. The buttery flavour is a bit mild to me but they serve a cute rose-shape🌹butter to pair with on top of the clotted cream and home-made organic jam. A bite of scone full of clotted cream and jam followed by a sip of premium Darjeeling🍵 Just a perfect afternoon😚
Not a big fan of festive menu to be honest as it is always marked up and the style is somewhat “festive” losing the restaurant authenticity. But this one, I would say YES💯 times. Literally every single piece is good, especially the savouries which many hotels fail. The 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 (foie gras with gingerbread), 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 (poached oyster with caviar and tarragon jelly) and 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰̧𝗼𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻 (beetroot macaroon with homemade Boursin cheese) are my personal favourites and I love how innovative💡 they are in designing the menu. Just beyond expectation!
For the sweets, it is even more festive featuring traditional Christmas desserts and some Christmas-style ones. Indeed, I love the non-festive ones more like the 𝗚𝗮̂𝘁𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗮𝘂 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 (lemon cheesecake) and 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮. But the Christmasy ones are not bad and super photogenic📸 Can’t wait to be back again to try their next seasonal menu💫
