Finally got to try torisho! Another yakitori place in central also specialised in charcoal grilling, serving different parts of chicken and other meat. We ordered almost all the skewers from the chicken section, tail, Tsukune, kitsune, wings, thigh, also the rare cuts like chicken oyster, engawa, heart joint, chicken belly .. We ordered almost all the skewers from the chicken section, tail, Tsukune, kitsune, wings, thigh, also the rare cuts like chicken oyster, engawa, heart joint, chicken belly ..
I think the most impressive ones for me would be chicken tail , kitsune (deep fried tofu and ground chicken meat) , and chicken belly.
A bit disappointed with the chicken oyster though, not as tender and juicy as I thought it would be, I think the one from yardbird is better.
Besides the chicken parts, we also ordered egg roll, fried tofu, and carbonara udon.
I liked the egg roll a lot, the carbonara was not bad too.
I have also tried their dessert, vanilla icecream with sake, and homemade pudding. I think just so so, not necessarily to order.
Overall, I think Torisho is an authentic yakitori place, everything is up to standard, but seems nothing really stood out like “wow” for me. I personally would prefer yardbird or birdie more.
