Spending the second evening at Tango, the Argentinian steakhouse before another lockdown is definitely not regretful. Spending the second evening at Tango, the Argentinian steakhouse before another lockdown is definitely not regretful. Sitting beside the windows on high tables with the Central evening traffics view surrounding by the jazz music was the best treat to end the hectic workday.

Starting the dinner with Tango's house-baked baguette was always delightful. Crunchy crust and soft bread inside was perfectly served with their olive oil, plus personally balsamic vinegar.

Having Provoleta (Dry Provolone Served with Lemon, Oregano and Chili Flakes) and Beef Empanadas as appetisers were enjoyable. Deep fried crunchy wrapping with minced beef of the Empanada was not heavy, but tasting herby and juicy.
Drizzling the pan fried Provolone cheese with lemon juice and serving with the tomato salsa like sauce balanced out the saltiness from the cheese. It was a crunchy chewy cheese indulgent dish.


After the appetisers, serving medium rare Flank steak with two sides, Braised herbed mushrooms and potato onion based tortilla (similar to spanish omelette tapas). Perfect cut steak cooked perfectly, juicy and flavourful. Even chose a lean cut, it was not dry or tough. This is just so perfect plus the 6 steak sauces suiting everybody's tastebuds. Personally, I recommend the horseradish sauce, silky and tangy; not something you can find in every steakhouse. Mushrooms were enormous, cooking with fresh herbs. Very fragrant and buttery. Tortilla was thick but just right. Amount of potato and egg were balanced well with sweet onion. These two sides were indeed a good combo with the steak, despite a bit stuffed sharing between the two. [Good food will not be a waste of course, writer has packed away].


Ending the evening with the signature Churros serving with cinnamon dulce de lache. It could never be a disappointment. Restaurants usually serve with chocolate sauce, differently Tango served with cinnamon dulce de lache. Traditional dessert and cooked with perfection. Crunchy cinnamon sugar crust with chewy texture dipped with the delicious dulce de lache for an extra cinnamon kick. As a cinnamon lover, this is one of those you are looking for.


Personal preference, after a meaty satisfying meal, I will round off with a double shot espresso. To clear the taste bud and to spend some moment just relax. Not bad coffee served with a little biscotti.
After a long day work, Tango will be a little place recommended to spend your evening at. Not to escape from the hassle in Central, but to treat and reward yourself. A warming cozy restaurant to spend with your friends and family.
