Master Beef is a very popular all you can eat Taiwanese stlye hot pot restaurant. You basically need a reservation to get in. But perhaps it was the extremely hot weather outside that caused this place to have plenty of empty tables! During lunch, they have three choices to choose from their 90 minute all you can eat set. We decided to choose the $168 series as we didn't want seafood.
And then the food came! VERY FAST. At one of end of the restaurant, they have a buffet section where you get your dipping sauces, vegetables and other items for hot pot such as fish balls,
We chose the Taiwanese pineapple and chicken soup. There was a whole chicken inside along with lettuce, bitter melon and pineapple. It was interesting and it tasted more salty that sweet or sour as we had expected. Munching on the pineapple, it appeared to be salty so it must have been preserved pineapple.
The vegetable selection had a lot to choose from. Items were fresh though the balls were a bit frozen.
The meat was excellent quality.
I got a special pineapple ice drink for just liking their social media page. This was not too good. Watery and not much pineapple taste. But it was no extra charge so can't complain.
At the end, they give you dessert. Taiwanese grass jelly with tapicoa pearls and beans with condensed milk. Not too sweet and a nice finish the lunch.
Service is fast and no order was missed. The quality of food was good as well. Will definitely be back.
