The highly anticipated visit to the supposingly best sushi ya in Hong Kong ended with a tad of disappointment.Had their new year celebrations menu. Their signatures dishes like the ankimo (monk fish liver) , Shimane awabi (abalone) and tako are living up to the high expectation and its definitely worth ordering extra portion. Their sushi overall were good, but not stunning and memorable. We were only given 1 hour 30 mins on paper to finish (actual time were less, around 1 hour 15 mins), and you

We were only given 1 hour 30 mins on paper to finish (actual time were less, around 1 hour 15 mins), and you can actually feel they are rushing for the next session.
The service was what have impacted the overall experience most. Tho staff were professional and friendly, they were not really paying attention to the guests need.
The "random introducing what u are having", telling u "this is uni", not wiping the serving dish regularly when it was stained after each sushi serving, asking if we want to order add on without telling us what is available experience were a little...erm...just not the kinda service I expected. Well, i hope at least a menu could be given if there's no intention to explain.
I noted guests from other tables were actually having more attention from the staff, not sure if it was because they bother to top up for extra bottle of sake (I didn't order because I don't wanna rush to finish or bring the bottle home).
Comparing to other 3 stars sushi ya I've visited, feeling there is quite a room for shikon to catch up on to make itself a truly deserving 3 star sushi-ya.
