Dinner in the private room. Here’s what we had : Appetizer: 蕎頭 (pickled Chinese onion). Even tho we were starving, not really our cup of tea. 小炒王- the stir-fried mix of chives, cashew nuts and crispy dried shrimp etc gave an excellent balance of texture. Deep fried pigeon 椒鹽鮮魷潮州翅- even a per-person portion was massive. Bubbling hot. Very 足料Hilight of the nite was definitely the signature 黃金臘味撈飯 (aka “VIP rice”). Normally not a fan of spring onion but I think it was exactly that that sealed the

Also ordered other pots of 煲仔飯 with miscellaneous toppings, like 田雞,白鱔,鹹魚肉餅,滑雞,蝦乾肉餅. Server gave strict instructions re when to open the lids, add soy sauce (not too much!), close the lids and reopen the lids. Nice to try a spoonful of the different 飯焦, which was crispy but not too crunchy. Perfect. But I liked mine with more soy sauce tho.

咕嚕肉- very crunchy; batter was definitely one of the best I’ve tasted. However pork was way too fatty for me.
