Kowloon city is full of Thai restaurants and this is definitely one of our favourite. To be honest, I order the same thing over and over again; pork neck salad, pomelo salad, papaya salad, they are the best in town. Tom Yum is generally good everywhere you go and this is standard. 3 dishes with 1 large beer, total of $204, will definitely return!

昌發泰國粉麵屋 (English name: Cheong Fat Thai Food) serves Thai food but specialize in noodles. Boyfriend, his mother and I came here for dinner as they had been here before and thought it was pretty good. You'd think it was a small restaurant, but they have two shops and upstairs seating as well!


Menu is in English, Chinese and Thai. There is no 10% service charge and you order by writing down the dish number on a piece of paper and hand it to the staff. Payment is on your way out by uttering your table number.

Boat Noodles ($45). A hearty bowl of noodles. There is a choice of noodles and we chose rice noodles. They were thick and long! Smooth and chewy. The noodles soaked up the soup well. And the soup! Rich and fragrant.

Duck Meat Soup Noodles ($45). We also shared a bowl of duck meat soup noodles. The soup was a bit different than the boat noodles as it a had a more duck meat taste than opposed to the other one which had a beefier flavor. The pork blood was firm, yet jelly-like. The duck meat was shredded and moist.

Satay ($69). There were a total of five sticks and we chose one beef, two pork and two chicken.  The meat was tender. The best was the beef as it was super juicy. It came with a rich satay sauce.

Fried Water Spinach with Shrimp Paste ($55). The water spinach was fresh and the amount of shrimp paste added wasn't a lot so it wasn't too salty. There were tiny little dried shrimp found throughout.

Ching Mai Style Minced Pork Salad ($69). This had a rating of three chili peppers but the staff said we could change it to nonspicy by writing on the order form. So, boyfriend wrote in Chinese .. nonspicy. But when it arrived, it was so spicy, none of us could eat it. I guess the chef was Thai and couldn't read Chinese? Should have written in English ... or maybe drew a picture of a chili pepper and crossed it out? Only boyfriend dared to try it and he said it literally burned and he felt his lips swell up.  But while he was gasping for air, he said it tasted pretty good. I'm surprised he tasted anything? Even his mother, who could eat spicy, started to tear up and gasp for air as well when she tried it. I, not courageous enough to try, let them struggle for water.  We didn't want to waste it, so they took it home to try and dilute out the spices somehow. I don't know how that went.

Food was quite good and portions were generous. The noodles were excellent and one of the best Thai style noodles I've had in Hong Kong.  I love the noodles they used and the soup was hearty and rich. Service was ok and the place was clean enough. Would be back if I wanted a bowl of noodles.

這晚在九龍城毒自解決晚餐,想在這裡吃泰菜,但一個人進餐館又不知怎樣叫餸,經過這間主打粉麵的泰式餐廳簡直就是如獲至寶。泰式粉麵原來都幾多選擇,有差不多十種麵條可以搭配,有一兩樣單看名字不知是什麼樣子的粉麵,要叫姨姨店員來解說一番,少吃泰式粉麵的我算是長知識了。最後還是穩穩陣陣叫了個泰式豬頸肉金邊粉,湯底清清地,附有少許通菜,在豬頸肉上撒上辣椒粉,我急不及待吃了一口,哎,出事了,豬頸肉都切得幾厚下,又浸了在湯內,口感都幾韌,完全唔鬆化!😔 有點小失望,還好味道是可以的……

最後還是穩穩陣陣叫了個泰式豬頸肉金邊粉,湯底清清地,附有少許通菜,在豬頸肉上撒上辣椒粉,我急不及待吃了一口,哎,出事了,豬頸肉都切得幾厚下,又浸了在湯內,口感都幾韌,完全唔鬆化!😔 有點小失望,還好味道是可以的……

九龍城出名多泰國菜,下就3點幾到,好多店都中場休息緊,見到昌發未山,就入左去。叫左肉碎飯,pad thai, 咖哩雞肉。好有泰國地道風味!價錢唔算貴!抵食之選!!!

第一次嚟呢間泰國菜館食,叫咗好多款菜式,總括來講,水準一般,試一次就夠。蝦餅唔錯,即叫即炸,每台都叫。冬陰公都唔錯,不過略為甜咗啲,如果酸味重啲會好食啲。鹹魚炒芥蘭都幾好,但如果鹹魚味再重啲就好啦。九層塔炒蜆就唔係好抵食,得幾隻有肉。串燒拼盤一般,好乾,唔值得叫。鴨肉湯河都幾好,幾鍾意個河粉,佢係好闊嘅,但係鴨肉有啲乾,冇乜肉味。叫咗個雞肉濕炒河,個人就唔係好鍾意,太油。生菜肉碎包就超正,佢有兩款嘅,一款係辣啲,另一款就算啲,我哋揀咗辣啲嘅款,好好食!

Decided to dine in Kowloon City after looking for Indonesian groceries (in vain). Walked by this place and it looked authentic!!Sure it was authentic. I ordered the boat noodles and it was close to what I had in Bangkok. The noodles were al dente (a bit chewy and not overcooked) - not many places do justice to the noodles !! Came with pork balls, sliced pork and liver. The fried rice was also tasty. The stir-fried morning glory had good “wok fragrance” and was cooked just right.Ordered lime soda

上次去灣仔食完Samsen碗船麵之後念念不忘一路都好想複卓,期待大碗熱辣辣濃湯泰國船麵。咁啱喺九龍唔想過海,於是睇下有邊度有,結果搵到九龍城呢間昌發泰國粉麵屋。一入門口見到係超級地道泰國菜,原來金寶,小曼谷d裝修係算靚。兩邊牆壁貼著嘢食相,點菜喺自己睇menu然後按編號寫紙仔。寫完都未必有人嚟收。於是點左個招牌遊船河, 湯夠濃但係又唔係特別香,裡面有豬肉丸,雞肉和豬潤。總算有類似既嘢落格。朋友叫左海南雞飯都係普通。 反而椰青清甜可口,解渴。 總算係食左個麵。

Have been hearing some good stuffs about Thai food in Kowloon City and this was the first time I came to this area to try out some “authentic “ thai food. Turned out food was good, pretty standard kind of taste that local will like, but still far from being authentic. The waitresses were rude. It only worth a journey here because I was quite surprised to see how much Thai influence in this area - Kowloon City, slightly different from what you will see in TST or Mongkok/ Prince Edward/Sham Shui P

芒果沙冰,以前系用新鮮芒果,飲落好fresh,不過宜家用假芒果汁,死甜,冇左清甜果香,

乾炒牛河炒得十分有鑊氣,河粉條條分明,不會黏在一起,但又不會吃得滿嘴油。牛肉份量也很多,大大塊,牛肉肉質幾嫩,有肉汁,還有一些芥蘭、雞蛋、紅蘿蔔,令每啖麵口感層次豐富。

最後是半隻燒雞,燒雞相對其他菜較遜色。燒雞當然沒有用新鮮雞啦,外皮燒得香脆,雞肉不是太嫩,但也不會太老,有一點兒乾身,不太特別,燒雞可試可不試

整體十分滿意,上菜快,水準高,價錢又合理,值得再來吃

啱啱去食完泰國餐廳. 傾一個blogger 介紹然後太緊屋企嘅關係所以 去咗試一試 叫咗個芒果飲品, 炒通菜, 蝦餅, 沙嗲串燒, and 蒜蓉包因為太肚餓有啲冇影到相😂首先第一樣芒果smoothie its very good. 好冰凍不是太甜 炒通菜超難食不要再叫因為好甜我唔知係咪天氣太熱蝦餅有少少怪味 所以有啲聲同埋好似啲shrimp不是太新鮮沙嗲串燒都幾好食可以試一試蒜蓉包好脆我幾鍾意! 不是太多嘢食因為淨得兩個人. 最後埋單每位大概150價錢算合理俾其他 餐廳經濟實惠好多. 其實全條街都好多泰國餐廳我亦都試過( 大象餐廳) 我唔記得很咪依個名但我知道有個象 hahaha 呢間都可以得閒過嚟試一試

首先第一樣芒果smoothie its very good. 好冰凍不是太甜

炒通菜超難食不要再叫因為好甜

我唔知係咪天氣太熱蝦餅有少少怪味 所以有啲聲同埋好似啲shrimp不是太新鮮

沙嗲串燒都幾好食可以試一試

蒜蓉包好脆我幾鍾意!

不是太多嘢食因為淨得兩個人. 最後埋單每位大概150價錢算合理俾其他 餐廳經濟實惠好多. 其實全條街都好多泰國餐廳我亦都試過( 大象餐廳) 我唔記得很咪依個名但我知道有個象 hahaha 呢間都可以得閒過嚟試一試

這天氣實在太熱了,就想起陽光普照的泰國,就又來了昌發。先點了個椰青,清甜涼快。再點個青檸沙冰重度降溫一下,很濃烈現貨青檸汁的味道,外型很厲害,像個小山,喝慢一點也怕會溢出來。冬蔭肉碎卷粉,喝口湯,辣!然後來點酸,不錯。肉料還好,但卷粉真的嚇一下,竟然肉腸粉下湯,我真的不懂。另外的豬什粉,湯底清,味道濃,就小了點甜和層次,肉料也是還好。另外再點了我最愛的遊船河,湯底濃厚,但我之前再來了幾次和這次,味道真的回不去了。

冬蔭肉碎卷粉,喝口湯,辣!然後來點酸,不錯。肉料還好,但卷粉真的嚇一下,竟然肉腸粉下湯,我真的不懂。


另外的豬什粉,湯底清,味道濃,就小了點甜和層次,肉料也是還好。

時不時都會黎九龍城按摩,泰式按摩好舒服每次按摩💆🏻‍♂️完都好肚餓,見距離食dinner時間都有有兩嗰鐘,食碗粉麵頂頂先哩間泰麵係我常常幫襯既一間,貪佢近我按摩既地方,而且我覺得算係最接近泰國既味道。。今日嗌左雞米粉,佢嗰麵底可以轉架,有河粉,金邊粉,米粉,蛋麵大大碗米粉上枱,係我鐘意既泰國米粉呀不過湯底點解有紅蘿蔔既?係米mix埋左港人口味?啲雞既份量都好多,係嫩滑既,一啲都唔鞋,配埋啲泰式香料,令到湯底提升不少
