Being wholeheartedly grateful and admiring his coming-of-age (elder version), I celebrated with my senior at one of my favourite skewer places, I really love returning to old favourites. Staff was friendly as always, checking if I like their new drink on menu: lychee & mints mojito, replacing the lime with lemon juice and crushed lychee, very refreshing and indeed a good match, exactly what I want to drink (both alcoholic and sober versions available). Skewers at this place are never less than p

Skewers at this place are never less than perfect, our dinner began with some chewy refreshing cold mixed udon, followed by his top 3 of the night: sweet and fabulously crisp Aomori apple wrapped with pork; soft and gorgeous quail eggs wrapped in pork; pork & gourd lollipop roll with the signature raw egg yolk shoyu dipping sauce (my all-time fave as well).

Of course, we also had to get some wagyu beef, grilled eel and oysters, beef ribs, cheesy rice cakes in condensed milk, Thai pork collar, salted pepper-seasoned crunchy veggies, AND my highly recommended honey, lemon & butter on seeded toast (it's a must, for dessert). The dinner was a luscious joy, quite frankly. He rated 4.5+ out of 5, legitimately a source of contentment I’d say.
