I have not visited this tourist destination for a long time as I don’t want to que, and during covid every time I tried to come it was closed. Finally came here early on a recent public holiday to avoid a que, and it worked, yahooooo! Didn’t have to wait 1 second 🥳I ordered the breakfast set ($43) which includes their famous scrambled eggs, toast and macaroni soup with ham. The macaroni soup with ham arrived first, followed by the scrambled egg and toast. I need to eat the eggs first, the eggs were cooked perfectly, they were soft, runny and silky smooth, but they were way too salty making it very hard to enjoy. It never use to be this salty and surely if you had these eggs everyday your arteries would be like steel tubes. The toast was well toasted in the electric toaster and buttered. The macaroni soup with ham was nothing special, no taste. The cold milk tea was a joke, it’s the smallest cold milk tea I’ve seen and you can’t even get enough ice in the short cup to cool the tea down 🤷♂️
The food quality has definitely changed since the last time I came, say 10 years ago. I wouldn’t line up for hours for the chance to eat the food here. There are better places with more comfortable seating. Sorry I’m afraid I won’t be back for another 10 years.
