It’s my first time visiting The Twins in Kai Tak, we dined in an okonomiyaki/ teppanyaki restaurant in Tower 1, right above Sogo. It’s a good spot to take a break from your shopping spree downstairs. Mains and sides were equally impressive. Who would have thought that the chefs would flatten the takoyaki balls into a crispy disc? It’s creatively yummy, with very fresh and springy octopus dices inside. Modanyaki was an alternative of okonomiyaki, it’s stacked up sophisticatedly and teppan fried to perfection. I especially enjoyed the combination of yakisoba noodles (with crispy edges), crunchy cabbages, fluffy batter and the very generous drizzles of sauce on top. Lastly, the garlic & pork belly fried rice was naturally flavoured with aromatic teppaned garlic, so I can leave with a full and happy tummy.
