This afternoon tea was released on Valentine's and definitely matched the theme. It was so popular that I didn't get to try it the first weekend and was able to book a table on 25/2.After going through my review last year, they did a similar Strawberry themed afternoon tea but this year they were even better, which sounds almost impossible as they are already so good.This year, they were able to incorporate Strawberries in all their appetizers and mains. After going through my review last year, they did a similar Strawberry themed afternoon tea but this year they were even better, which sounds almost impossible as they are already so good.
This year, they were able to incorporate Strawberries in all their appetizers and mains. The tartness of the strawberries worked well with the savories. The Strawberry Gazpacho was my favorite starter. For the mains, the sweetness of the strawberry in the tomato sauce balanced the pasta dish.
Last year, they got to try 5 types of Strawberries but as mentioned last year, they didn't introduce them when served, which I felt wasted the promotion teams effort. Maybe they read my review and I am so glad this year they instead labelled which strawberry is served, its position in the afternoon tea stand and the characteristics of the strawberries.
Out of all the Strawberries, I preferred Saga the most as the consistency was just right for me. For the desserts, my favorite was the Green Tea Tiramisu as it balanced the icecream well that I was eating non-stop.
Their ice-cream this year also matched the theme, having both Godiva Strawberry and Chocolate soft serve.
For drinks, there are 3 drinks like the hot chocolate, coffee/tea and sparkling wine (Yup, 3 drinks. Not 3 to choose from)
